Warren Sapp

I am with you that I didn't see anything in the article that suggested Sapp used being black as an excuse (I think the poster was just getting ahead of what some might argue on his behalf) and I absolutely agree with you that there is systematic racism, but Sapp saying “You weren’t born here, were you? Were you born here, Chung?” is absolutely a racist comment.

It's possible that you can be on the receiving end of racism and still racist against others.

Perfectly put.

Yeah he always was a prick but this is **** you do when your mind goes. Why the **** is he hassling city hall.
If y'all want honesty I'll give it to y'all. In my humble opinion it's a convergence of numerous factors. #1 warren has always been a Prick & a narcissist. #2 ONE of the worst things to happen to warren was him becoming close with Luther. At times he's like a puppet to him and his causes. #3 Right up there with Luther, was when warren went broke and lost any relevance he let Deion & his chase of national media into his life. No press is bad press. Now you tie those factors into one messy ball and you see, it's not cte, it's what warren has decided gives him purpose. Reality is this isn't a first time thing. He goes down to city halls and police stations on a regular for one cause or another. He's done this since he retired. It's led to his arrest at least twice that I can think of.

I can separate player from the person. One is arguably the greatest to ever play the position and the other is just whatever you wish to call it.

From a year or so ago:

Sapp might be a prick but he seems to know the law better than law enforcement…

Was all the way with until you brought up Sapp being Black and him using as that as an excuse to be racist. Did he state that or is that just a narrative you created in your head?

I think you should look up the definition of the word racist, then you would understand in this context you used it incorrectly. Since you brought up Sapp using his Blackness as an excuse to be racist understand that Warren Sapp holds no systemic authority over any Asian person to stop them from doing a **** thing.

If you want to see an example of racism look how people of a certain Race can use the political system to limit Black people from voting. That is racist. What Warren Sapp said was ignorant.
Read the article and he asked the officer what country he was born in. That is racist and a stupid thing to say to a police officer. Or you can use the word prejudiced instead of racist as I know racism also connotes a distinction in authority. So maybe I used the wrong word, but I found it to be ignorant/prejudiced for Sapp to ask that question of the officer.

I agree with the rest of your post and the damage that has been done to the Voting Rights Act.

Thank you for accurately assessing my post and clarifying.

Even your definition of the word disproves the point you were trying to make. Warren Sapp an American accusing that Asian Gentleman of being another Nationality has nothing to do with Racial Superiority.

I guess it depends on one's perspective.
For example, If I tend to distrust an ethnic or religious group when doing business because, in my opinion, they are distrustful, money-grubbing people who act in bad-faith, you can infer they are of "inferior" stock. I would not want to associate with them socially nor want to live in same neighborhood with my kids dating, marrying or even being in same school with them. I would say this person has a sense of racial, religious or ethnic superiority.

With as big of an ******* as he is, and his multiple previous issues, its not far fetched to assume/guess that he is guilty.

@Brooklyndee I have never seem him at practice or around the university. Is he just not interested or do we not invite him?

Not speaking for D but Sapp as well as the greater football alumni are still around with the exception of Willis at the moment.

Sapp was a coach at Colorado so their is a NCAA elements in that. But he was at the Ohio State game.

Warrens interest are himself and not much else. He's always been that way.
