Warning about Nebraska

I personally can't imagine winning, but they certainly have a shot.

The most discouraging part is how allegedly prepared we were for the big stage and noise level in Louisville, and what showed up instead. Now we just finish our second back to back home stint in the "friendly" confines, and we put up baffling penalty numbers. Hard to feel great about Golden fixing what he hasn't fixed between UL and now in a week...rap music during drills simply ain't Memorial Stadium.

Nebraska has Abdullah & a good backfield & they have some very tall receivers. However, we are definitely capable of beating them. Dorsett's big game yesterday gave them something else to think about. The Canes had a full week of practice last week, rather than a shortened week, & it showed in the game yesterday. I think we will be ready. Hopefully our special teams will show up. Goudis was held out yesterday with his back issue. Badgley was 2 for 3 on extra points (think he's a walk-on) Vogel did a good job punting.
Canes are capable of beating them. We shall see come next Saturday.

Nebraska is the epitome of mediocrity coached by a Corch. No reason UM shouldn't kick the corn out of their ****. They've got one really good player and a QB who couldn't throw it in the ocean from a pier.

I agree. No outcome will surprise me.

That's the thing with the last decade. We can win one that we shouldn't, then crap the bed against someone we should win the next. Just stop the running game against Nebraska and they're dead in the water. So much so, that we wouldn't have to do much on offense to pull out the win.

Where are the ones we won that we shouldn't under Al?

What gives me hope: Their QB 50% completion percentage

Worries: Special Teams .... just have a bad feeling this will cost us

Our defense has a recent history of making bad QBs look like Joe Montana. See Logan Thomas as exhibit A. I agree with you on special teams. They are really bad and are going to cost this team big time if they don't tighten things up. Even extra points are an adventure.

NU Strengths:
-RB core led by Abdullah
-Very strong receiving core
-DL and Randy Gregory
-Safety play
-Special teams

Weaknesses:
-Run blocking
-Play calling
-Armstrong
-Turnovers
-LB play

Nebraska maybe terrible but they do have two legit players one on each side of the ball that our corches will have no answer for as usual.. sigh......

D'Ono might be able to scheme against just one player.. I think he has the capability to do that. We have the horses now..

I think we can all agree that Miami has an opportunity to win in Nebraska. The question is, will we?
