Go to the Duke board and read their crying. Some of their "fans" are bashing Cutcliffe for not going postal on the refs. A couple want him to resign or be fired because he took it. Some still think they're going to awarded the win.

Not in the mood to register...The slapping on the court gif is nice, but not sure if it makes up for the second pic; sure they are sad, which is great, but do we need to see more fugly future **** star Duke girls?

Thread called, Email the ACC

Hi,

I am writing to express my discontent and to get an explanation for the end result of the Miami Duke football game tonight.

After a lengthy review, the referees ruled for a TD in favor of Miami, who then won the game.

By my count, the following were incorrectly called by the officials and replay team even after the lengthy review.

1. Once a block in the back (or any penalty) is announced, it cannot be "overturned" by a review. The referee stated the final announcement that the review showed no block in the back, but a penalty cannot be changed in this way, by rule. Again, by rule, this is illegal.
2. Player #1 on Miami is clearly down by contact. Please find supporting pictures below.

I would like an explanation for these two calls. The outcome of the game was incorrectly awarded to Miami. This unacceptable and wrong. Duke, the ACC, and their fans deserve better than this.

Why are referees allowed to change a called penalty after replay?
How is the video evidence not indisputable to rule down by contact?

Sincerely,

Thread called, Rules Question - Can the game actually be overturned?

is it actually possible to overturn a football game? Need to know if this outcome can actually change. If so, we should contact the Iron Dukes office to lobby an official protest.

Can't help but think if the word "Alabama" was on our jerseys, there would be a different feeling in the college football community right now.

Also I'm never one to say this - largely bc usually it's over the top and changes the livelihood of an entire family - but the replay official needs to be fired after that game. Unless he called the ACC office and they told him to uphold the call (which opens up a new can of worms which I think we should not give in to), there is no excuse. Not when you take 15 minutes to review the play.

People need to lose their jobs after tonight.

This incompetence directly influenced a game's outcome and quite possibly, the Coastal champ

The weird thing about this one is that it is not just a bad call that the game ended on, it was a completely illegal decision if in fact they did review and take back the penalty. Losing on a bad call is one thing. Doing something that is completely against the rules is a completely different thing.

Most frustrating part is how many missed calls there were in that last play. Should have known that the replay was not going in our favor after Max's fumble did not get overturned in the first half, which also seemed very obvious that he was down.

From thread called, Cut needs ti bring video

Coach Cut needs to bring a big screen or projector to his next press conference and show it to the roomful of reporters. Ask if there is anyone in the room that sees anything other then the Miami players knee being down. Heck show Max McCaffrey's fumble and ask the same thing. Obviously everyone will have seen it, but asking a whole roomful of people and seriously trying to get one person to stand up and defend it would make quite a statement.

From the thread called, Miami fans are pathetic losers

Duke won the football game, lol. Refs disregarded the rules and awarded Miami the win, but this isn't wrestling.

From a thread called, Duke better

For the rest of infinity whatever are eventually record is at the end of the year, Duke should add a win and just put an astrick by it. It should count on Cut's record, it should be on everything we print and control as long as Duke plays football.
