Walter Camp 2018 Mock Draft

]but if you are in the bottom tier at 6 months out in these Mock Drafts then you have a lot of ground to cover in a very short period.

Well Norton and/or McIntosh can make up a lot of ground with good showings against Wisky's perennially formidable O-Line.

And it's time they create a combine for draft eligible underclassmen, that way these kids can make more informed & educated decisions.

Way it is now is a crap-shoot.

Every year you guys post Walter camp and its always inaccurate

Our last three 1st rounders were never mocked in the first round until late in the draft process
I agree ... but if you are in the bottom tier at 6 months out in these Mock Drafts then you have a lot of ground to cover in a very short period... It is so many variables and these guys have done some homework .. so it doesn't hurt to see what they have to say.. Out of curiosity have you ever compared any of Walter's Mocks to an actual draft?

My advice to Shaq if he were in the same draft State as Ken and RJ ... I would advise to stay and better your draft stock

That is good advice...some of our best players ever played 4-5 years. ST was a rs jr. Rolle played 4. Reed played four. Vilma and DJ played four. Andre Johnson was rs Jr. These guys should stay, get better, earn their degree, and enjoy being a senior leader on an elite team. These are experiences that they will carry for the rest of their lives.

stop reading after it had the dolphins drafting a cb in the 1st

Umm...you must realize that that is exactly the kind of thing the Dolphins would do.

Maybe this mock draft is legit after all.

no they wont. Been a fan of them my whole life. They would likely draft an og from Minn or a DE from Illinois or some sh*t.

But justify that mock with we are replacing or need to replace Byron Maxwell is b.s when he was replaced during the year already by Xavien Howard and got**** Kacy Rodgers could replace that f*ck.

Charlie campbell with walter football projected more players right in the first round last year than all of the big name media dudes including kiper and mayock.

Had Kaaya 5 or 6 in Spring 2017 iirc

That’s pretty accurate in later rounds

It's one thing to be in that bottom tier and be on the fence about it, thinking, like some are suggesting, that an impressive performance in a marquee bowl game against a top 6 opponent could elevate your draft stock into the lower portion of that first tier...but these guys aren't even on anybody's radar at this point. Not even in the lower tier. Norton's highest rating by any service is the 16th best draft eligible DT prospect. The service that has him rated that high? Walter Camp. And they don't even have him being drafted in the first 4 rounds of their mock, and their position draft doesn't show him being drafted at all. RJ isn't even listed in anybody's top 25!

Now it may be that our guys just haven't had the right opportunity to show the experts what they can do on the big stage, and maybe they shoot up the board with an impressive showing against Wiscy. But those are some awful big maybes. And maybe that showing against Clemson was all it took for the experts to determine that these guys aren't NFL level prospects yet.

Nationally televised night games vs ND & VT were big stages, and they both balled out.

Like I alluded to in a previous post, why not just have a Junior Day and call it a day?

The NBA & NCAA allows underclassmen to participate in their combine without losing eligibility, why not the NFL & NCAA?

That was kinda the point. Maybe I covered my sarcasm a bit too well, but they did play well in a few nationally televised games. And yet, they still aren't high up on anyone's list. Perhaps we, as die hard fans, have them rated a bit too high.
