Walter Camp 2018 Mock Draft

Dolphins should trade up to draft a QB. Preferably the Wyoming kid.
I agree the Dolphins need a QB, but am leery of any QB out of Wyoming, especially one that played like crap against Iowa, Oregon, and Boise State. There is a reason he played at Wyoming. Yes, Carson Wentz played at an even lesser school, but he really showed out at the Senior Bowl. Allen graduated early and is eligible to play in the Senior Bowl, but isn't committing to doing so. Why?

Seems like he's scared to me.

scared of injury maybe...just doesn't care to play more in college if he's leaving early
Maybe he's scared of injury, but he has an opportunity to play great and solidify himself as a top 1st round pick and so far he's noncommittal. It seems to me he's afraid of a poor performance against top talent. I hope he plays in the Senior Bowl and puts the speculation to bed. But if not, I definitely do not want Miami drafting him.

Hey cannot afford to waste a 1st rounder on a qb when they have so many needs and Tannehill is coming back.
LB , OT or DB are all more urgent needs.

No such thing as wasting a 1st rounder if that QB turns out to be a franchise QB, which Tannehill most certainly is not. Tannehill is a major reason why the Dolphins are in the mess they are. The guy has been in the league 6 seasons and no one can say for sure if he's got it or not. At some point, when you don't know, you know.

he'd be the best available to our middling perpetually mediocre franchise after Cle and NYG eat Rosen and Darnold. Dolphins don't have the luxury to be overly critical because we suck, from the top on down, and need to hit the reset button big-time.

I'd trade any and everyone of value not named Suh and start drafting QBs.

Tannehill sucks!!!

The idea of him ever accomplishing anything is what has us mired in mediocrity and anyone who thinks otherwise should be removed from the Dolphin's front office... He should be the first one traded with Pouncey, Wake, and anyone who has value. In all fairness to Wake, he should be sent to Pats to compete for a championship.

Tannehill is a step below Tony Romo in his overhyped mediocrity and we'll never win with him leading this team. Look what the Rams, Philly, & Minnesota have done... We're missing out on Gurleys to be 7-9 and draft Jordan Phillips. Our FO sucks and should be shown the door as well!

Maybe keep Cutler as a stopgap and trade up to draft a top 3 QB in rd 1. Then draft Chad Thomas, Herndon, and Walton, later on.

We need to start fresh and mine the homegrown talent.

I hope they have such Monster Junior years that they are 1st rounders. I hope a bunch of those kids in that class don’t leave early also. Miami will never compete for national championships if we keep losing 3-4 juniors early every year.

Do not take any mock, especially Walter Camp's, seriously at least until after the Senior Bowl.

Blogging sure is easy when you just disagree with the information that was presented without offering anything in the way of a counter argument.

There has been wild speculation since about half way through the season that either RJ or Norton are going to bolt for the NFL draft if not both.

This speculation has been backed up by little to no actual information, but has led to widespread concern about our potential lack of depth at defensive tackle as well as baseless accusations that our coaching staff aren't effectively recruiting 7 defensive tackles this cycle to offset this potential lack of depth.

There have been rational voices, however, that have suggested that neither RJ nor Norton are quite NFL ready players, and that it could possibly be a mistake for either of them to leave early. To support this notion, these sane, rational people have offered up mock drafts, positional analysis, and prospect grades, none of which list either of these two among the top 15 best draft eligible DT prospects, or suggest that either of them will be drafted at all.

Now it goes without saying--or it should have--that mock drafts and prospect grads aren't completely accurate this far out. Yes, they mean little before the Senior Bowl. They also mean little before January 16 when we actually know who has declared for the draft. Then they still won't mean much before the combine results and Pro Days. And even then, mock drafts can be wildly inaccurate the day the draft begins.

But it is the best information that is currently available providing an unbiased opinion on where these guys might land, and every single piece of information that has to date been presented screams to both of them, "STAY IN SCHOOL."

Every year you guys post Walter camp and its always inaccurate

Our last three 1st rounders were never mocked in the first round until late in the draft process

I agree ... but if you are in the bottom tier at 6 months out in these Mock Drafts then you have a lot of ground to cover in a very short period... It is so many variables and these guys have done some homework .. so it doesn't hurt to see what they have to say.. Out of curiosity have you ever compared any of Walter's Mocks to an actual draft?

My advice to Shaq if he were in the same draft State as Ken and RJ ... I would advise to stay and better your draft stock

Charlie campbell with walter football projected more players right in the first round last year than all of the big name media dudes including kiper and mayock.
