How can one watch that and honestly say no contact was made?
Back Judged vetoed Field Judge’s flag. I was told he can do this if the play involves a tight end. If it was a WR the pass was thrown to, that flag stands

Lol I had exact same thought at that moment last night tooGlenn Sharpe got flagged for less in the '03 Fiesta Bowl.
I had that feeling too . It’s almost like they just picked it up cuz it would’ve been the 3rd in a rowI don’t know the veto or not but what I do feel confident about is if they did not just have two penalties called for blatant PI, this one would have stood. I think the refs picked it up solely because of that, which is ridiculous.
Same. Tbh I really didn’t think it was PI, but if you hit Blades and Finley with phantom calls then the same should be applied throughout the game.Them picking it up is not the problem to me, them doing so after the horrendous calls on Finley and Blades earlier in the game is a problem. Both #30 and #7 had less contact. If you set a standard that you are calling those calls, then call them.
That's the big one to me. I do not know if there is defensive holding in college but if there is that should have been called, if not DPI should have. As the ball got close it was less egregiousNot only was there contact but Jordan was help around the 5 yard line. You could see his jersey get pulled. Either way something should have been called. The refs must of got a call at halftime because we got taken to the wood shed by them.
If PI doesn't matter if you do it 3x in a row we should start having our DBs and LBs doing it on every play. We're talking about a potential third straight PI in a row to keep a final winning drive alive. Let's move on from this and focus on the real reasons we lost last night.
You obviously didn't understand my overriding point. If PI doesn't matter if you do it 3x in a row we should start having our DBs and LBs doing it on every play.
I know Mallory got hit in the head at the 5 yard line also that same drive and it was not called. Mallory's arms went up the second he did not catch the ball. We're talking about a potential third straight PI in a row to keep a final winning drive alive. That wasn’t PI.
The thing that stood out to me, though, was the ball placement by Jarren. He threw a dime.
That could’ve been caught.
If Brevin had come down with it, that play goes down in Miami lore.
