I understand the quality of the teams Marshall was playing was not great, but 1) their players weren't great either and 2) this D looks so bad that those same bad teams would likely score on us and Guidry had a D that ranked well in so many categories. Wtf is going on?

No, it's both. Guidry sucks, but the front 4 was supposed to be the strength of this defense and they haven't.

Saw this on X. I’m not an X and O knowledgeable person but this makes a lot of sense to me. Planning was Kirby’s DC for awhile. He’s very good.

For those that ARE k pledges le, do you think Guidry thinks about this? Could we execute defensive stops set up this way?

Everything looks good on paper in theory, but in practicality isn't always as easy.

The biggest issue our Defense has is personnel, not Coaching.

The majority of the big plays that get made against the Defense are as a result of missed assignments. People have convinced themselves...

I’m seriously gonna have to have someone explain to me, after the game, how the D is this bad.

Not being hyperbolic, but I have a pretty decent understanding of Xs and Os, and I don’t understand what’s going on. And I mean relative to other teams. Don’t expect perfect or amazing, but I’m not seeing these CONSISTENT breakdowns by other teams as a matter of ROUTINE on Saturdays.
