Not sure if it's been discussed at length, but I think it'd be wise to have agreements with agents/players in place and just not announce it now so as not to be a distraction to the current players. Don't want anyone who might think their PT is in jeopardy next year to remotely think about hitting the portal during this run, or just be distracted in general. Other than that SC WR, haven't really seen anything about actual visits, and the whole thing with the Pitt LB is curious with Gaby trying to kill the story after Hayes reported it.

I hope this is what is happening. otherwise we are falling behind.

I really don't see the advantage to withhold the announcements if there are any unless you think more guys from our team will bolt due to their spot being potentially gifted to a portal guy. My best guess is Mario is pretty satisfied with the current roster and we will only add a few portal guys... we've seen 1 visit for the WR? and that is it? It is odd. More will come and I'm sure behind the scenes visits and offers are going out but it is odd imo and I don't really see a competitive advantage.

On the show yesterday, Ariz hinted that Mario and staff are encouraging players to wait to jump into the portal and with their announcements.

What's the "competitive advantage" in regards to making portal announcements? We sign who we want to sign. Does it matter if everyone else knows about it?

We're just mad as fans because WE want to know. WE want to be able to talk/brag about it.

I’ve seen talks of making commits wait till after this game on Thursday.

Trying to limit distractions from current players on the team.. makes sense.. not sure there’s no easy way to do this under the circumstances

Exactly. Thinking the same. Mario moves in the Shadows.
