Waiting For The Slurp Crew To Try To Defend Mario

Butch wasn't a great game coach either but was a solid talent evaluator and developer. Want to know who are good coaches? look who they surround themselves with: other good coaches. Mario has 2 former assistants from FIU that are currently power 5 HCs. Mario would upgrade our coaching and recruiting in a heartbeat. I will take whatever follows.

Only if we pray hard enough anything is possible. I'd take Shaw over Mario and Lane in a heartbeat. His teams always play hard and play well above their talent level. It would be hard to pull him from his alum mater.

Only question marks would culture fit and how good of a recruiter is he. But he's a leader of men and well respected around CFB.

Putting the hire Mario thing aside... I would be game in hiring Butch in an effort to rebuild the team staff and focus on recruiting. I would think he would be a great deal $$ and the savings could go towards hiring great effective assistants... what say you.

Everything that is wrong with Miami is wrong at Oregon. Mario wouldn't change a **** thing. The fact he had Collins and Satterfield at FIU and they still sucked further proves that he is a bad HC. If he didn't coach under Saban I guarantee you he wouldn't be where he is now. But everybody thinks Sabans Assistants are going to be great HCs.

I was a stron Mario guy in 2015..but there’s no doubt he’s in the worse division in the P5..with a huge talent advantage.,in 5 years he hasn’t figured out a QB (had Herbert fall in his lap)..and he loses 2 head scratchers per season

Just because Mario **** the bed vs Stanford, it doesn’t mean Manny Diaz doesn’t suck donkey d!ck. He has literally fielded the worst Miami team since the 1970s and that’s saying a lot considering the jokers we had before him.
