Stoops has lost plenty of games at Kentucky...

There's a difference between weighing up the options and blindly believing Cristobal is the saviour.

thats the f-ing point.

theres a lot of good options but most people in here **** on these options as soon as there is one game lost. mario would be the same type of saviour kiffin and stoops would be.

its a dodge and weave festival. just get one of those three in here and we can consider ourselves to be blessed.

Mario is 29-11 at Oregon. Really should be 30-10 but that was prevent from a BS call. If any of our previous 4 coaches held that record for their first 5 seasons at UM y’all would be praising them. Keep in mind last season was mess for pac 12 football, starting late and what not, yet he still won conference title. People bring up overall HC record but he started off at FIU.

You can't try and sugarcoat the record...its what it is and he loses every year to double digit underdogs. Last season he was 4-3 with losses to Oregon State and Cal...and was Cals only victory last season...Oregon state scored 22 points in 4th q....and that was biggest rivals.
And the reason Oregon played for conference championship was bc Washington having an insufficient number of players available due to COVID-19.
Then they got their **** pushed in vs Iowa State by like 20 and they didn't score any points in second half.
Also though he did an admirable job at FIU...he was fired after a horrible 3-9 season...and didn't get another HC gig for another 6 years.
 
Where do these people find these clowns. Mack Brown loses a game, he is terrible, Jimbo loses a game, he is terrible, Cristobal loses a game he is terrible. Diaz gets blown out every game, we should keep him. Like Diaz has a brain dead cult and i have no idea what he has done to earn such loyal fans.
 
So many places to start

A lot of canes fans are stuck in the BCS era mindset.

It’s not the BCS era any more. It’s the P5 playoff era.

You don’t need to go undefeated any more to get in.

You need to be in a conference with 1 other top 10 team.

So if you drop a game you can make it up by getting that big time win.

Win your conference and then you’re 120 minutes away from a title.

Some tend to think success is out Bama’ing Bama… good luck with that.

there is not sure fire coach aside from Saban.

Ask Texas AM if they’ve gotten their $100m worth out of Jimbo yet?

So is Mario perfect no,

But he’s an elite recruiter.

Who understands our culture.

And coaches a hard nosed disciplined style.

That can get us back to being a respected serious option.

From there you just hope to get the RIGHT kids.

Who can make the plays you need when you need em.

That ref crew went full out Terry Porter in that game. That’s not on Mario. I wouldn’t be surprised if that crew was paid off by Ohio state boosters. That targeting call is actually the worse targeting call I’ve ever seen and I’ve been a Miami fan since before that rules inception.

Mario is still infinitely better than what UM has had the past 20 years regarding head coaches and is literally 100000% the coach Manny Diaz is.

He is also the biggest name out there who would actually want this thankless job.

Every team not named Alabama or Georgia is vulnerable and will lose some games. Welcome to football.
