LOL. point I was trying to make is that:

CIS trashes the 'trash' qbs we are about to face based on a lack of experience or production and then we get overly challenged or waxed - until the next time it happens, which is quite often. shampoo cycle.

Who are all these QBS who’ve had these career days.

That bull**** urban legend is growing faster than Butch being the only coach able to bring us back to the promise land.

All you have to do with Perkins is make him run to his left. He has zero accuracy then because he doesn't square his shoulders. He's a threat scrambling to his right. Perkins has improved a lot as a passer in the pocket.
If Garvin is spying anyone ever again I'm done with Baker. Let that man speed rush.

Kenny Pickett from Pitt did a number on Manny's defense in 2017, as well.

But what's so weird is that we play against these new QBs, and you're absolutely right....they don't beat us (w/ the exception of Howell), but we get absolutely murdered by their running games. The only QB we made look like the next coming of Joe Theisman was Hornibrook back in '17. He had his most productive day as a QB against us and he had struggled w/ ints all year. It wasn't his best completion %, but it was his most yards and tied for most TDs w/o an int.

We've held our own against new QBs, but for some inexplicable reason, we get murdered by the one dimensional offenses, lately. BC smoked us like that; so did UVA, GT, LSU, and Wisconsin in the bowl game.

Honestly, we should not have any problems w/ VT. We should beat them pretty handily.

You put too much stock into those stats. Our weak schedules play a heavy role in those inflated numbers. Play with anyone with a pulse and our D will make them look like world beaters. You really think this Defense wouldn’t get lit up in the Big 12 or PAC 12? I do.
