We don’t need to play that dumb *** gameplan these next 2 games at all. Even vs uva Bryce Perkins has terrible pocket presence and doesn’t see pressure whatsoever and is very vulnerable back there with the ball in his hands. Need to get after these guys with regular pressure
Brock for DC

Supposedly both Hooker and Willis have some shoulder issues right now. Nothing serious as far as I get. This kid is an inaccurate passer. sometimes, on the money; next pass, all over. He definitely will run and likes to. Ivins talked about him a little bit on a podcast. AT one point, Notre Dame was recruiting him pretty hard . Then they switched over to Ian Book.

It's interesting he is starting. Either Willis is hurt more or they are anticipating the need to run.

It's also a league in transition. If Satterfield does anything close to what he did at App State, which is barely lose conference games that'll add another very solid program. Brown has actually made some good hires and have a good looking young QB. Although we don't know what we have in Collins, GT immediately has a higher ceiling than it's had the last decade. Virginia is going to be as good as they've been in forever. Wake Forest and Duke are maxing out their potential right now. BC, Syracuse and Pitt aren't the doormats they've been in the past.

The depth of the conference is in decent shape, it's the top end that's in shambles. VT and FSU need to make solid hires, and Miami some how get out of the rut into respectability and the ACC is back to being the second best conference again, competing with SEC on the top end.

Good post. I agree wholeheartedly and have said so on this board several times. I think the ACC made some really solid coaching hires. Satterfield at Louisville is excellent and I think that program will be much better in a couple years. Collins legitimizes GT and now allows them to tap into the insane amount of athleticism in Atlanta and the state of Georgia. 100% higher ceiling now. Bronco vs Mike London.....LMAO. Wake and Duke both have excellent "more with less" coaches. BC is generally terrible.....Addazio is OK, but that program will never be better than average with him there. Babers is very good, Cuse has been up recently but they're down this year. Long-term, he's a good coach and will have them competitive. Pitt is meh.....Narduzzi will do what he does.....go 7-5 every year with wins or close losses to good teams and some inexplicable losses to middle/bad league teams.

But yes, overall the coaching in the ACC has improved. Just this year, the league is as bad as it's been in a LONG time and is without a hint of a doubt the worst P5 league BY FAR.

SP+, Massey, and Sagarin all have the ACC a distant 5th in the P5.

If you want to look at individual divisions, the Coastal is dead last of all P5 divisions.

Massey has the ACC closer to the AAC than they are to the PAC-12
Sagarin has the ACC Coastal closer to the AAC West than they are to the ACC Atlantic, which is the 2nd worst P5 division.
SP+ has the AAC closer to the AAC than they are to the PAC-12 as well.

I really have no idea how you can claim you watch football every week and be anything less than totally embarrassed by the ACC this year. I am FULLY on board with the ACC making a significant jump over the past 5+ years and I can argue it was a better conference than the SEC at least once or twice in the last 5 years. But this year is a complete joke.

And we are capable of beating all of them.

No diggity no doubt. But the Coastal (and ACC in general) remains competitive even with the dearth of above average teams.

Aside from Clemson (who is clearly better than anyone else) it feels like any team except GT can win a conference game on a given Saturday.

Agree. The parity in the ACC is incredible right now. I'm with you: Clemson on top, GT on bottom, and everyone else seems like they're meshed in the same pot.

No one is saying it’s good. Sec has had teams lose to Wyoming, Memphis, Georgia state. Mind you Georgia state just started their football program within the last 10 years. So that happens and it’s meaningless to hold them to their worst outcome of the season but try to complete dismiss their best showings. That’s ridiculous.

**** the SEC. This is mother****ing Miami.
