The ACC (and Miami in general) need VT to get back to a solid 9 win type of team.

Its a good rivalry for us.

They're upping their money and investment in the program. They have a group of boosters that finally put their foot down and said we're not hiring the coach, but we're watching, and if you hire someone without our blessing the funds are going to dry up. If you hire a good coach, we're committed to up our NIL game.

Don't think they ever compete at the top of CFB with NIL but they'll go from a $5M roster to a $10-15M roster. Takes them from where they are with $ with teams like NCST, Houston, Pitt, Cincinnati, etc. to the level of South Carolina, FSU, Virginia, Arkansas level of talent acquisition.

Being an AD must be so emasculating.

I don’t think it is out of the question that he takes that job but the smoke that he’s about to take it I think is completely insane because he and his agent have no idea yet even if they’ve circled through the existing jobs and engaged interest what additional jobs are about to become open that could be higher up on the tier at a big 10 or SEC school And it would be a huge mistake, barring some out of the world offer to not wait to see the full landscape of options that he will have

But I do agree if he winds up there that is a good match and he could take a lot of the Penn State recruiting base with him

VT is a regional school with very little brand recognition. Other than the Vick years….no one really even cares. Franklin ain’t changing that. Enter Sandman…Exit Sandman

Well I heard from a reliable source that Franklin is a probable coach for every D1 and half the D2 and D3 schools. Also, a couple of Jr colleges in California and 3 high schools in Mississippi. So there is that. Oh yeah, it’s either him or Gruden.
