Bro how TF does that school manage to still have the ability to field a **** team. Between last year and this year man wtf? How many people do they have left on scholarship.
VT is like UM in that they have such a rich recruiting landscape they get dudes that can play by accident.
Miami and Vt have been like “well I guess we gotta let this dude on the team cause he’s all we got left on the board”
2 years later he’s all acc.

For real, especially this year when they were down 15-20 kids for covid, I was expecting them to play both ways like in little league haha

Their AD just had a press conference on Tuesday to express his support for Fuentes and publicly state he would be returning for 2021 season.

Then these guys started hitting the portal.....

They are really financially strapped right now. Supposedly their Boosters would have supported the buyout IF Shane Beamer got the job. Since that's not happening, they are keeping the status quo right now...
 
They are in a jam.. Chalk up another bad season and another horrid class. The next coach will have a massive hole to fill.
 
Fuentes is the opposite of Manny. This exodus has happened every year at VT that Fuentes has been there. He has a terrible personality , supposedly, loses every offseason but he can coach though. Fuentes isn't about being your buddy.
 
Fuentes is doing a great job. The Hokies had 1 player from the state of Virginia in their class last year, which ranked 14th. This year they had five that signed earlier and have two more who are committed out of 25, and this class is ranked 10th in the ACC. Of those they've signed in the past two cycles not a single player comes from a powerhouse high school football program in Virginia.

What this means to me is that Fuentes should get a lifetime extension, and my Canes should roll the Hokies for the foreseeable future.
