VT is overrated ND is the toughest team left in our schedule

If Bama and UGA meet in the SEC Champ game as undefeated teams, that's two playoff slots already taken because the loser of that game is still getting in.

That's the narrative SEC propagandists would want to sell. But the committee values college football as a whole more than the SEC/ESPN blowhards. Since the conferences don't play each other, it's impossible to know who's better. But a conference championship game does solve the question of who is better between the 2 of them. Why give someone a rematch if it's already been determined? If a 1-loss conference champion is weighed against a 1-loss 2nd place, the champ gets in.

Vt and nd will be both tough games. nd actually looks pretty good right now. That would be a big win for richt

I think they both are rated appropriately.

I also think we are rated appropriately.

Based on that we are the better team and I think we will beat them both at home. More than likely in close fashion and I will take that in a heartbeat.
Just win.

We could lose to ND and still make the playoffs if we win the rest and beat a 1 loss CLemson team

Disagree. One loss ACC team has a slim of getting in, and I mean slim. A one loss Bama, UGA, Pedo State, OSU, and ND will all get in ahead of us. If Bama and UGA meet in the SEC Champ game as undefeated teams, that's two playoff slots already taken because the loser of that game is still getting in.

Need PSU to beat OSU next weekend.

My favorite avatar guy how's it going?

In my scenario yes things would need to occur such as the following:

Georgia gets pounded vs Bama or loses another game then loses vs Bama
PSU knocks off OSU giving OSU two losses
Wisconsin gets drubbed vs PSU

This leaves

Bama
ND
TCU
Miami

I'm with you and your making sense, but I see no way a one loss Bama/UGA gets left out if the only loss is against the other. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Both teams running games is what worries me.After watching Syracuse gouge that defense yesterday Manny will have to make MAJOR adjustments for us to beat either of those teams.

We should beat VT. They got beat up pretty good vs a Clemson team that I really don't think is as good as the rest of the world thinks they are. ND is another story.

Vt is always tough for us. We will need to be a lot better on offense bud foster will bring the house on Rosier.

They ran 93 plays & didn't get 400 yards.

VT is good. Glad we got them at home. They don't run the ball all that well, so that should bode well for us. They try to bounce everything outside. I'll need to see them throw the ball against a good team to think their throw game is top notch. They're good though. Best part about that team is those Edmunds lunatics. Those 2 guys destroy gameplans.

ND played yesterday as well as anyone I've seen this year not named Alabaga. If they're firing on all cylinders like last night, they'll be favored to beat us. They've completely turned their team around this year with the DC hire from Wake. And Wimbush brings the legs to the QB position that they missed last year with Kizer. That RB Adams should be a Heisman finalist. I haven't seen anyone do anything with him this year. Maybe they have, but I must not have seen those games. He's the best RB I've seen this year.

IMO, VT is about even with us when we're at home, we're lucky to have them visiting us. Going to be a real tough game. I think that Syr game got us in better shape with that sped up offense. ND is better than us right now, period. The hand off to the RB is still way to slow. Many times it's too close to the line of scrimmage which gives the RB less time to go wide if the middle is all clogged up. Run Defense has to get better.

Our best receiver is playing hurt, a couple of the big receivers have to stand up for a full game. Play calling is still suspect. This team could easily be at 4-2 as it is 6-0. The one thing this team does have is a huge heart, huge! Regardless of how this season plays out, we are headed in the right direction, they've taken us on a great ride so far. Gonna need that stadium filled for both games.

I think both will be tough games. But if there's ever a game where run-fits and being physical at the point of attack will be critical, it's ND. They make no bones about what they are and who they are offensively and Josh Adams is a load. Just hope we take care of business at Chapel Hill and came get healthier for this big stretch in November

So you're assuming we win every game, I don't believe we will. We lose one game we're out, easily could be ND. I'm still being realistic, I still think we lose two games.

I dont think that VT is overrated at all. And while I will agree that ND played well yesterday, I think that USC has been the most overrated team in the country this year.

I don't care how overrated USC is. If you watched that game, ND completely whipped them up. Obliterated them in the run game on both sides, and that USC team recruits at an elite level like we do.

ND is going to test our manhood. They will try to bludgeon us with Adams and get some big chunks with Wimbush. So far, they've done everyone with those two.

We have not faced an OL as good as ND's in my opinion.
But they have not faced a DL as deep as ours.
Will be must see tv just watching that key match up in the trenches.

I did not say that it wont be a tough game Just saying that USC has been overrated this year. Obviously, you disagree.

Both games come down to TO's and Special Team's
- Love Bags
- Punting and Kick off coverage looks really ugly

VT is most definitely not overrated

Nobody better be kidding themselves, it’s going to be hard as fūck to beat both VT and ND consecutively. I’m not saying it can’t be done, it can, but it will be a **** of accomplishment if it’s done - doesn’t matter whether we win by two touchdowns or one point

Again, these are going to be 2 hard as fūck games to win, especially given that we have very little quality depth, and both teams are hitting on all cylinders. These 2 games will be games of attrition, and our depth is weak.

Don’t fool yourselves.

I don't think USC is a great team at all. I do know that they recruit at an elite level, and that game with ND is a longstanding rivalry game. And they got obliterated. That's all. You don't obliterate talented teams like that in rivalry games unless you're playing at a very high level.

Hopefully, they peaked in that game.
