could you imagine if this is true and those players actually placed big money on the game, to still earn the extra money they wanted....... wow

He was reportedly making $2.4 million this season, and wanted $4 million.

Dude is a mediocre QB in a great athlete’s body (PAUSE)! He seriously overplayed his hand and it’ll most likely cost him $$$ and the quality of team that he ends up at. He played himself.

Tennessee is using the Nico situation as a way to try and spin some things in their favor like the blowout L in the playoff. Had nothing to do with it.

The negotiations were ongoing related to 2025 and beyond. It has to be done in the middle of everything else during the playoff because the portal window is so small once you have gotten to that point. There's no way to have all of the negotiations/conversations only when the season is over. Everyone dealt with it.

They almost lost Boo Carter, Mike Matthews, and a few more young guys as a result. Nothing that would have changed that game in any way. I heard Nico's dad was shopping his name around but there weren't serious suiters then and clearly there still aren't. James Pearce, Sampson, Thornton, Bru McCoy, Brooks, Dom Bailey, Norman-Lott, etc were going to the NFL and NIL negotiations had no impact.

The secret to a good bluff is that it needs to be credible and you don't get hurt by walking away. Nico had neither of those.

This whole pos industry, is biting the hands that feed it. Without students, there's no institutions of higher learning. Without fans, there's no revenue generating sports.
