Vols Tears

His numbers last year were not good enough to be renegotiating his deal.
Serious question. How much of that was impacted by the UT run oriented offense? They ran 958 plays, 61% run plays (34 rush TD's) and 39% pass plays (21 TD's). Somebody did point out however that his completion % under pressure was horrific ... 37%.

it does. It's all over the Tennessee boards. Spring portal restrict inter conference transfer. I think they can in the fall portal

I hope we make him a low offer to be our backup. If you don’t offer, you won't never know. He is exactly what we need as a backup this season. Luke gets a pass, as he should. That's it. Our QB room is not good enough to count on it for a win or 2 if needed to make the playoff. We won't even really know what we have on both sides of the ball until Beck is back in Fall Camp.

I think they did the right thing. But their fans better hope venables doesn’t flame out this season cause if so, heupel is 100% going back to Norman to coach OU. In the matter of a year and some change, they could go from the playoff to being the same ole Tennessee we all know post fulmer.

He's already got offers. I hadn't heard OSU, but it makes sense. I don't buy that USC isn't interested. That would be a complete 180 from yesterday. Maybe they balked at his new numbers.

RGW is a fake account btw lol. USC, UCLA, ND are prelim reports.

Oklahoma touched that bridge years ago. I don’t think he’s leaving

You could be right idk. I just assumed that they didn’t think he was proven enough yet especially since they knew they were going to the sec. He’s shown he can win games in the conference now..

Watched a couple of their games and he didn’t seem polished in the pocket, and was quick to run.

Ohio state is on the hook.
“How do we keep J Smith if our freshman qb looks like cheeks?”

Haven’t kept track of Ohio State’s business. But how does their new QB look?
