I may be wrong but I think Schiano would have been a great hire for them.

In the state that their program is in, they need a no nonsense tough football coach that could assemble an NFL quality staff. That would have been Schiano.

If there is anything that defines “dumpster fire” it’s definitely Tennessee atm.

Ever heard of Derek Mason? He's the current head coach at Vanderbilt, which as you may know, is an SEC school in Tennessee.

Yeah I would love to see him coach in the sec just to **** **** up in that conference.

He was talking **** about the SEC this past winter:

“I’ve got bad news for all these levels people. Your level isn’t special, your conference isn’t special. All this different level this, different level that. That’s crazy.” Coach Leach said.

“First, it becomes it won’t work,” Leach said. “Second, they basically say oh it’s a system, suggesting that people who don’t do it that way, who just run it up the middle, stick all your asses together so one hand grenade can kill everybody, that’s the right way to do it. Since they do it the right way, they’re OK with the fact they lost.

“This is a great time to be in the SEC, everybody’s got the same offense: run right, run left, play action. And they tease themselves and say we threw it four more times a game this year than we did last year.”

He is however just 2-4 against the SEC as a HC, and both wins were against Ole Miss.

Leach is better than some of those coaches they looked at. He’ll be a thorn in UF’s side for years and that is great!
