Vols Tears

That Chancellor Davenport at UT is not communicating too well with hiring coaches--

"An accomplished scholar, Davenport has authored more than 100 papers and articles. She has edited three books on the quality of work life and workplace civility:"

"Destructive Organizational Communication: Processes, Consequences, and Constructive Ways of Organizing (co-edited with Pamela Lutgen-Sandvik, Routledge, 2009)[10]
Case Studies in Organizational Communication 2: Perspectives on Contemporary Work Life (Guilford Press, 1997)[11]
Case Studies in Organizational Communication (Guilford Press, 1990)[12]"[/I]

No joke, there is a thread over at volnation titled, "Where is Al Golden now?"

Literally spit my drink onto the keyboard in laughter. Can you imagine . . . ..

They will get turned down by almost everyone
Coaching is a frat... they railroaded one of their members

The irony is their fan base think they are somehow playing three dimensional chess and winning by not getting schiano or the guy from NC State. In reality they are a bunch of dolts driving a stake into what’s left of their program. I really hope they get turned down and humiliated by a few more guys before someone takes the job.

Offer Tee Martin and live with the decision.

They're not going to hire a black head coach, it's just not going to happen.

Why not?

Because it's Tennessee?

Kentucky, Louisville, Miss. State, etc. have had black head coaches, but Tennessee won't?

Ever heard of Derek Mason? He's the current head coach at Vanderbilt, which as you may know, is an SEC school in Tennessee.

Oh, coordinator, okay.

They've had lots and lots of black assistant coaches, so whatever.
