Starting to wonder if coaches turning down UT because of what they did to Schiano.
Eventually someone won't give a crap and take the job but feels like some are messing with Tenn now.
I don't think anyone who
really wants the job will turn them down because of this... but it'll probably make others who might have considered it (i.e. someone like Gundy) think twice. Most of the big names have probably written them off.
Someone like Brohm or an up-and-coming coordinator is probably the best that they can do right now. Actually, I don't think Brohm would be a bad hire -- he's had success at WKU and got a terrible Purdue team to a .500 record and a bowl game in his first year there. He doesn't have a large resume and he's not exciting, but he seems to at least be competent. Chad Morris would be more exciting -- his record at SMU isn't great, but they've been awful for years, and he's going to a bowl game this year. He was the hot up-and-coming coordinator a few years ago at Clemson. Both guys have question marks, but at this point, the Vols could do a lot worse.
