Vols Tears

I was in the dome the day they destroyed us and listened to that **** rocky top song in my sleep for months.

ANYTHING bad that happens to this school will not make up for my torture.

There is a history of coaches putting up .500 records at difficult places to win and then becoming monsters at larger schools with more resources. I believe he would have been their most competent hire since they fired fulmer.

Saban was .500 coach at Michigan State for four seasons, before a breakout 9-3 season. Oh, he bailed on the team before their bowl game so he could move on to LSWho. Schiano isn’t Saban, but he was a better hire than Butch Jones or Derek Dooley. Monkey Boy did make Rutgers respectable, and he did spend two years in the NFL. Most NFL coaches fail, and Tampa Bay hasn’t been a solid organization since Rich McKay left. Hard to fault him. Saban and Spurrier tanked in the NFL too.

All that to say, NO ONE. NO ONE. NO ONE is going to want to come to Tennessee after seeing the temper tantrum that those fans threw. Who wants to put up with that **** as a coach? There likely isn't enough money in the world for anyone who is actually qualified for that job.

If I sound triggered, it's because I live in TN and got to witness a lot of this crap firsthand. Dumbest fanbase on the planet.

UT should swallow their pride and go get Lane Kiffin.

Both have warts, but both are a fit for one another, IMO.

Best hire they can get, at this point.

They'll end up with Tee Martin and keep Hoke to help out with the transition. They've made their bed and now sleep in it.

They'll have a coach who isn't ready but heavens forbid he's a " Tennessee guy".

They should just offer the job to Larry Scott and be done with it.

Seems like the chatter on Tee Martin is that he's not nearly white enough to get the boosters to sign off on that hire.
