The fans ruined it for themselves with that ridiculous reaction they had. They decided to go dirty and bring up something from 25 years ago that he may or may not have said to someone that says he may or may not have said it.

If you don't want the guy as your coach because you think he sucks, then just say that. Calling him a pedophile and **** is a low-class, low blow.

I'm not at all a Schiano fan, but I'm objective enough to call BS when I see it.

All that to say, NO ONE. NO ONE. NO ONE is going to want to come to Tennessee after seeing the temper tantrum that those fans threw. Who wants to put up with that **** as a coach? There likely isn't enough money in the world for anyone who is actually qualified for that job.

If I sound triggered, it's because I live in TN and got to witness a lot of this crap firsthand. Dumbest fanbase on the planet.
 
Schiano would have been a decent hire for them. They are going to end up overpaying for someone half as qualified as Schiano then turning around and writing a nice settlement check to him

Well yeah, of course someone will. I was more referring to anyone that would be qualified to run a program like UT. They'll definitely get SOMEONE, but it won't be anyone good.

Grundy turned down gators and TN for $7million a year to stay in OK? Does dude get output from a Pickens oil well as long as he stays or is there something seriously wrong with these schools? Should we start a pool on how much FSU has to offer to replace Jimbo or how many coaches turn it down?
 
Funny too that Mississippi State made an infinitely better hire than Tennessee will end up getting

A lot of those coaches at the schools associated with big oil have off-the-books kickbacks and investments tied to those oil companies. Gary Patterson at TCU and Gundy are two of them. This is from a buddy of mine who is a Texas Tech booster and alum. He generally has a lot of insider knowledge and is rarely wrong.

Yeah Tenn is getting what they deserve for that slander. I get that Schanio isn’t the sexiest hire but he could have been primed for a big run at his second stop as a HC. There is a history of coaches putting up .500 records at difficult places to win and then becoming monsters at larger schools with more resources. I believe he would have been their most competent hire since they fired fulmer.
