VT can run the ball as well as anyone in the conference.

Defense isn’t good at all.

Miami needs to outscore them.

It was a bad joke.

Here's some tangible stats from last years game:
Yards:
Miami -563, VT -337
First Downs:
Miami -27, VT -17

Penalty Yards:
Miami- 90, VT- 50
Turnovers:
Miami -5, VT-0

-5 on turnover margin/ +50 in penalties and we still had 2 shots from the 10 to tie or win it.
I said to the guy sitting next to me, if we get this **** TD right here, there's no way we let Baxa kick the XP.
Gotta go for 2 and the win.

I tried to punch holes in their rushing stats, but really couldn't.
They rushed for 270 vs UNC, which stat wise is on par with us.

That being said, UNC rushed for 4 hunge vs VT.
 
Load the box and don’t play zone. Make Hooker beat you and don’t give him easy throws.

Their OL is a concern for sure.
The DL and really almost all their defense sucks. Our inside zone should have success.

Hooker really struggled in the 2nd half v WF (only time I've watched them), but has had some other very productive games.
Is it as simple as loading the box? Just haven't watched Va Tech enough for an educated take. If it is though, seems out of character for Baker to game plan that way.

It is. Hooker is more of a runner. VT is 14th in the acc in passing averaging only 182 yards a game. They are 1st in the acc in rushing averaging 290 a game. They rely on hooker, Herbert, and blackshear running the ball.
