Virginia Tech Away Games

It could be very loud. Like, ears ringing for 2 hours after the game loud. I don't think that stadium's full potential has been realized yet, and Saturday night might just be it. We'll see. We'll need it, as rattling their QB might be our only real path to victory here.

Just to mention ... inexperienced QBs have had a field day against us lately.

Having said that, it is our offense handling their D that concerns me the most. Our slow developing handoffs will get our RB/QB killed.

Foster has always given us trouble ... was hoping he would leave after Beamer left.

If Miami loses to Va Tech then the wheels will fall off and they will get smoked by ND......the kids will be down and the game will mean absolutely nothing to them.

The "if" game can be played in various ways.

"IF" (And it is a big if) Miami comes out and plays a great 4 quarters of football against the Hokies and wins in convincing fashion then they have momentum and confidence to beat anybody on their schedule and anybody in the country for that matter.

Depleted team and the outlier that season

Jackson is a RSFR but he's been pretty mistake free this year, which is impressive for a first year QB. Would be curious to see how rattled he gets in a big game like this.

VT's plan is simple - they are one of the leaders in rushing attemps in the country. That's their game but Jackson can also throw it. They are tougher on D than they have been in years and their special teams units are exceptional (they've allowed a total of 4 total yards on punt returns this year). They will slow the game down and wear down our D.

Only way we can win this is if we avoid the dreaded slow start and cause Jackson to make a mistake or 2 (I'm not even counting on being able to run the ball against them). If we start slow and Jackson plays mistake free football, we're in for a tough night. JMO
