Virginia Game Attendance

Anything over 50k and they’ll be just as many UM fans as there was for the ND game. It’s gonna be loud again despite the nooner.
You need to put the crack pipe down. There was nowhere near 15k Notre Dame fans in the stadium, I assure you.

Don’t forget to subtract the student tickets that won’t be used, I’m sure we are looking at 4-5k empty student tickets.

Guessing around 50-55k, which for a nooner against UVA is decent and plenty to make a good atmosphere there.

I have two 50 yard line upper deck seats and a blue parking pass for sale. PM if you are interested.

We deserve any attendance smack we get if we don't pack the place.

Every other sports team down here sucks.

No way. 45k

Are you really this dumb? Are you really this much of an ***? Or are you really this much of a troll? We had 50K for Bethune. 49K for Toledo after the hurricane. We had 55K for GT and 56K for Syracuse. All of those were fairly accurate, not the Al Golden, announce 55K when there were 30K in the stands. We're now Coastal champs, coming off of our biggest two wins in more than a decade, ranked 2nd in both polls, and will likely be 2-4 the CFP poll. There will be at least 55K, probably 60K, and who knows, maybe more, but you be you.

I'm from Buffalo and have meetings in Saratoga Springs all week. I'm heading back early Friday morning to fly out Friday with my 6 year old daughter to take her to her first game! She loves this team and loves the Turnover Chain. Yesterday morning she was in our kitchen watching the replay and I looked at my wife and said, "What's this?" My wife said she wanted to watch and she goes, "Dad, the U just got the turnover chain!" I booked my flight that afternoon. Can't wait to take her and she has no clue yet!

I'm sorry

Sadly I have no comeback

My sister-in-law used to teach at U of Rochester. I've been to Buffalo (in the summer).

There may only be a few thousand tickets available but that doesn't take into account season ticket holders who won't show up. There's thousands of people who bought season ticket packages but only went to a few games this season. Thats' why announced attendance is always so much higher than actual butts in seats attendance. I'm holding out hope that we get a good crowd Saturday but honestly, I'd be shocked if more than 50,000 people actually show up for a noon game against Virginia.

I'd be shocked if only 50K show up. This isn't 2012, and this isn't a noon game for a 5-4 Miami against 2-7 UVA. It's 9-0, # 2 Miami, with more buzz around this team since 2002, against 6-4 UVA. This is different.

I’ve been to a lot of the games that weren’t Nd or va tech. 45-50k has been the attendance. What does hrs seat? If it’s 65k, there are more than 10k empty seats for those games. I’ll be there. But the announced crowd isn’t the actual crowd. I hope for senior day and the final home game and all that I’m wrong. We’ll see.

You do realize the students only get about 8K tickets, right? The student section is not going to be half or more than half empty.

There aren't going to be 20K empty seats for this game, and there haven't been 20K empty seats for any game this year.

Yup. I'm sticking with 57-60K (or more).

What in the bleep are you talking about? There were 65k in attendance for the ND game, and about 60k of them were Canes fans.

If it was a noon game for a 5-4 Miami vs 2-7 UVA, there'd be 30,000 people max. I hope they have a full house but it's incredibly rare for a game like this to draw a huge crowd. Even during the peak years in the early 2000's, there'd be 20,000 empty seats at the Orange Bowl for Big East snoozers. Maybe, if the game was 3:30, you could see a bigger crowd but noon+Virginia= 3/4 full stadium.
