Literally every year for the last 17 years (even when we were good we relied on others to lose) Every team outside of Alabama typically does

Virginia plays it DBs up tight in press coverage most of the time. Takes away that short bubble type passes. They rely on their pass rush getting to the QB before the QB has time to get any long passes off. The calling of their coverages is good especially against teams with a lack of variety in play calling to keep them off balance.

We didn't in 00, 01, 02 (Butch) or last year and that's without remembering specifics on the others. Either way, you're proving that we're no better now than we have been since Clappy. Keep up the good fight!!

I could see them winning up until the last game of the season. UNC, Pitt, and Ga Tech aren't a tough group to run through.

Look at Virginia's offensive line no one higher than 3 stars and one lower. It is COACHING. Very few missed assignments, they keep their butts low and get under the other guy, they get movement from the line of scrimmage when needed, and decent to good pass protectors.

Until MR moved on from this OL-coach it will not progress any further. Look the OL recruits we are getting and few of them. Two this year and none so far for next year. Will be interesting to see how much longer this goes on.
