In a concerted effort to derail the Fletcher v Pringle argument, I would like to focus on what I believe is one of the greatest comedy monologues of all time; Robert Downey jr in Tropic Thunder.
So great that the expression “never go full r*tard” has become a part of American lexicon while simultaneously being politically incorrect. Case in point CIS will not even allow me to type r*tard.

I still feel Robert Downey should have won the Oscar for best supporting actor for Tropic Thunder. A classic movie and a classic character.

I’m not sure if I remember correctly, but isn’t that also the movie where Tom Cruise did his Harvey Weinstein imitation. I found that to be hilarious after the fact because when the movie came out, I didn’t even know who the **** Harvey Weinstein was. I just thought Cruise was playing an amalgam of typical over-****y Hollywood producers and/or movers and shakers. It was funny at the time, but actually funnier now that I knew who they were imitating.

I agree with the Pringle chatter. He really does have elite vision and quickness. If he can get substantially bigger without losing his speed, he will be the best back on the team. He would be able to routinely break those arm tackles and would be a home run threat every time he touches the ball.

Again I think Fletcher is going to be very good in 2026. He's just not an elite player. NFL backs are very obvious. We haven't had one in a long time.
Let's check back in on this in 5 months when he's doubled up #2 in all time playoff yards

I hope that's the case. But I also expect Pringle to be getting his share and that's the best case scenario for winning #6. We need that explosive element in the backfield and frankly we haven't had one like Pringle since Lamar Miller. I'm hoping Pringle becomes our version of Isaac Brown

I clicked this thread in hopes of seeing 22 (and counting) pages of information about the 2nd fall scrimmage, instead I find at least 21 pages (and also counting) of guys explaining whose **** they would rather suck in our running back room. CIS being CIS...................

you know who you are GIF

So I was browsing some Pringle highlights yesterday evening and found this guy's breakdown of his high school tape. I've enjoyed watching this guy's tape on many of our recruits but he doesn't just do our recruits pretty much does all the national recruits. If you listen to the break down here he nails all of Pringles attributes. Finds tight small creases, pause. Very good inside runner and seems to be proud of his inside running tape. Even in high school the young man is not taking it outside with his 10.4 speed he's living inside between the tackles slashing and getting a high success rate right up the gut. So like I said Pringle is actually our most effective inside runner because he's finding holes the others don't. I'm new to the Pringle hype train. I jumped on after the season when I was watching tape when he was in the portal. The vision is undeniable.

So if you look at the tape and you do so with an objective open mind it's pretty clear why I'm not the only one saying he's got the best vision and is perhaps the best running back on the team. If he can run through some of these arm tackles on a more regular basis we are cooking with rocket fuel here and have the best RB we've had in a while that happens to run a 10.4.

Couldn’t agree more

Also someone like Fletcher takes him a bit longer than someone like Pringle to get going

Once we made Mali the focal point of the offense it gave the defense something extra to think about. Not a surprise that when Fletcher got some extra room to get going he started running like a freight train where Pringle is a lot smaller and great burst, he could sneak through spots

Even with a step back at OL I expect these backs to feast just because we have a downfield passing game that should be absolutely deadly
The step back will not be in the run blocking phase of the offensive line. This line will run block much better than last year and I mean much better. The step back will be in pass blocking.

He better learn how to block in the backfield because that’s the only thing holding him back, but it is a very big thing! Again, I’ll never forget watching him get smoked in the playoffs back there trying to make a block. That’s why you didn’t see him again in the playoffs.

Yep, this ret@rd did @ShadowSpring and let me tell you, he is at Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man levels!
What I'm trying to figure out here is all the disrespect and histrionics? Are you on your period or missed your crazy person pills? I've respected you and not called you names, perhaps you should behave accordingly. I just have an opinion about a player which has a decent chance of being correct. Pringle was the most impressive freshman RB on the squad for some time even starting games down the stretch.

OK, let’s do a little reality dose for you this morning sport in case you missed your lithium pill today. Mark Fletcher set the single season playoff record for the most rushing yards in the playoffs by a running back. He has the record! Pringle on the other hand got smoked in a playoff game trying to make a block and you never saw him again and he dang there transferred because of it. Yeah buddy, regardless of whatever nonsense you continue to spew on here, you’re wrong on this one and I’m gonna take Fletcher as the best back on this team, let alone the country. But continue on with your daily fantasies sport! We’re all up for a good laugh at ya. Lol

He blocked Styles on the first rep actually and Beck got off a pass to Jojo. He missed an assignment on the 2nd one. Similar to Fletcher missing an assignment against Ole Miss. It happens. The he can't play because he 'CAN'T' block crowd is going to be wrong pretty quickly. The young man has tape of sticking his nose in there and not backing down. A little work on technique and he should be fine.

He got smoked back there and that’s undeniable and that’s why you didn’t see him again in the playoffs. These are facts, dude, straight facts! Again, you are reaching Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man levels of delusional here! You’re ignorance or stupidity or just straight trolling on this, is near a level I’ve never seen on here before. Fletcher is the best running back on the team and more than likely the country. I know that that’s a tough pill for you to swallow but it’s a pill that’s going down your throat one way or the other, just like that lithium pill should’ve went down this morning.
