Why not, since we are splitting hairs? Can't switch them. Sapp is the best interior DLman in UM History by a hair.

I can only go by what Jerome's DL Coach for 3 out of 4yrs at UM (Butch) has told me numerous times. Why not, since we are splitting hairs?
He’s prob behind Sapp Brown and mayyybe Maryland in terms of production but he was a force but played limited snapsThe fact we are even debating whether he’s first second third etc is insane
As great as he was he’s probably the 5th best DT in Miami history.Saw him play in high school at Santuluces in Boynton Beach you could see he was going to be special incredible athlete I think he owned the state record in shot put-Armondo Blount might have broken it-
Saw Vince playing pick up basketball he could dunk like a the monster that he was-
Where do you rank him among the greats at DT at the U?
Vernon Carey probably holds this spot for me. Was a monster in the trenches for a very good MNW team.meanest OL ive ever seen at the HS level
There is no flip flop in regards to 1-4....As great as he was he’s probably the 5th best DT in Miami history.
1A Warren Sapp
1B Jerome Brown
3 Cortez Kennedy
4 Russell Maryland
5 Vince Wilfork
This is just my personal opinion you could flip flop a lot of these guys around on this list…

To me Sapp and Brown are always 1A and 1B. Sapp a 1st ballot HOF and Jerome was well on his way to doing the same. There is no flip flop in regards to 1-4....

I never watched Wilfork live in HS but I’m sure you’re correct. Vernon was a bulldozer that paved the way for Torrie Cox and MNW that year.vernon was a great on that MNW team but Vince was the meanest HS OL i ever seen...slamming dudes half his size he should have been arrested lol
yeah Pitt grabbed a few of those kidsI never watched Wilfork live in HS but I’m sure you’re correct. Vernon was a bulldozer that paved the way for Torrie Cox and MNW that year.
Yep they did got Torrie Cox and Antonio Bryant who both went on to be great in college.yeah Pitt grabbed a few of those kids
If Cortez would've been at UM for 4yrs, and not 2....he'd be 1C...To me Sapp and Brown are always 1A and 1B. Sapp a 1st ballot HOF and Jerome was well on his way to doing the same.
You could argue over Cortez and Maryland over who was better in college. But I think Cortez was…
Wilfork was incredible but I don’t think he’s as good as any of the other 4 guys.
I agree with that! Those defensive lines we had in the late 80s into the early 90s are unmatched! If Cortez would've been at UM for 4yrs, and not 2....he'd be 1C...
