Vilma is losing his mind on this show...

Here's the real problem with the playoff system: too much human judgment involved. Imagine these very plausible scenarios, thanks to the committee.

1a. Alabama and Georgia both win out, alabama wins in a close game, committee decides that although georgia lost, they are still one of the top 4 teams and we have 2 sec schools.

1b. Georgia beats alabama in seccg, and one loss alabama is not getting left out, so 2 sec schools.

2. Ohio State beats penn state this weekend, wins out and wins big ten. if penn state then wins out, there is a chance both penn state and ohio state get put in. If this happens, we have a college football playoff with 2 sec schools and 2 big ten schools all because the committee gives the eyeball test

Now, I'm aware that there is still a lot of football to be played, but three of the power five conferences could be left out of a chance to play for the championship. In the current system, an ohio state team that did not win their conference championship became the second seeded team in the tournament all because of human judgment. The only fair system would ensure that all five power 5 champions have a chance to play, thus eliminating a great deal of subjectivity and human judgment.

That’s why you need all Power 5 Champions, plus three At Large in a playoff system.

This problem is solved if the conference championship is treated as a play-in to the final four.

All other things being equal, put in a conference champion over a team that just lost its last game of the year.

Vilma is too smart for these imbeciles. Sort of like Mr. Spock debating with Spongebob.
