I didn’t say he couldn’t be or shouldn’t be pro-Miami. I said he should adopt a more objective tone, which means not being “too big a homer” for the U, which is also exactly what you said.
Maybe next time, think it through. If I had said something like “now he has to be totally objective, and not be pro-Miami” I could see your objection.
Adopting a more objective tone isn’t forsaking his alma mater, but it is a necessity to make him more broadly appealing to a wider audience.
