Mccloud was terrible on that play, but god **** was Rj McIntosh ******* awesome. Thats a 300 lb DT running the rb down 55 ******* yards down the field AFTER he got cut by the OL and went to the ground! Like holy ****.

Knowles is slightly worse at defending the run than Redwine is defending the pass.

Therefore Redwine should still start.

It's pretty obvious we need Storm18's DBs badly.


Gotta give Banda and Rumph credit for being able to mask it to the extent that they have.
 
We have a wildly undisciplined defense and we’re supposed to believe a bunch of that isn’t Diaz?
 
How are you a UM fan thinking your rival is going to win... period??

It may not have been at first, but it is now. No reason not to have corrected that at this point in the season. Let's hope he's figured out the magic words to get these guys to maintain discipline.

Our LB play needs pick it up or kiss Any Coastal, ACCCG, and playoff chances

That trio needs to play up to their potential
 
Remember when Diaz first got here and he said our defense is a 4-3 or 4-2-5 depending whether our 5th best DB is better then our 3rd best LB? Well our 5th DB is better then our 3rd, 4th, and 5th best LB. Manny's ability to coach and development LB has been exposed this year.
 
The frustrating thing is that these are the most coachable/fundamental things, you're not asking guys to be Ray Lewis or Ed Reed, this is literally about just doing the most basic things in terms of filling gaps and hovering around certain areas (like an outfielder backing up one another). You're not asking guys to be great, you're asking them to be sound - which are two completely different things. From game one this Miami defense(which brought back the bulk of their front 7) has had poor gap integrity and make some of the most basic mistakes that a good high school coach wouldn't accept

The fact this stuff hasn't been cleaned up so late into the season, to me, is on the coaches
