Glad I'm not alone..... hitting a guy in the chest doesn't matter apparently.....I just had a stroke trying to understand this.

Def made a bad read on that. Plays in to his confidence level though. Personally I think it was a decent throw that the db made an excellent play on to break up. Safety was just in the area late & got the pick. Crazy **** is when that pick was thrown cmr told nkosi it was a great read & a great throw. Blamed it on Harley. He still shouldn’t have thrown that ball...
I think you can see he's going to be really good. I did notice on one of the last throws he had Jordan and Mallory run the same route except Mallory was about 10 yards deeper. Jordan was covered and Mallory was wide open with a safety playing off. He throws it to a covered Jordan instead of Mallory who would have gotten the first down. The game is still fast for him but once things start to slow down he will see that play differently and make the right read IMO.
Yup. Really wasn’t a terrible decision. Harley had been a beast. He catches it and it’s a different tune.

I can see it that way as well. It definitely wasnt double coverage as u mentioned. But I disagree about the throw if Harley was able to continue his route(safety was def there early and his contact is the only thing that caused Harley to be in position for that throw. Coincidentally early contact is also the reason Harley couldnt make a good play on the ball. Double coverage or not though he had other viable options that werent in a tight window. That's my only issue on that but I'm certainly not mad that he took a chance there. Only way to learn what throws u can make is by making them in live action. Live & learn. No pressure. You can't complain about coverage w
Watch it again, it was a perfect throw into a hole in their coverage. Richardson was fully turned trying to catch back up to the play and not in coverage. It wasn't double coverage as a lot of fans have claimed.
I agree, UNC defender did a great job to get his arm in there, but that was more on Harley than Perry. He didn't catch the ball with his hands away from his body and he didn't need to leave the ground to make that catch. I forgot to add, had he not left his feet, it would've been far more noticeable if the UNC safety was there a bit early as many have said he might've been.
If we're going to ding QB's for perfect throws into coverage, then there's not going to be too many winning QB's at the end of the day. Perfectly thrown ball, mistake made by Harley and in turn, great play by the safety. Sometimes the defense wins plays and they won that one.
Agreed.I thought the DB hit Harley a split second early, which caused it to bounce off his chest. Great throw, but not a great decision. Kid has quite an arm, but he'd better shorten up that delivery a bit. It's long and exposes the ball to swats from nearby DL/LB's. Overall, looks like a winner.
