No shade but this proves what exactly??? It's been 24 hours, coaches should have already been sacked by now. You already dragged your feet and lost out on Kingsbury, Briles, Yost, Longo, and Dorsey. Blake needs to sack up for once in his career and force changes like Georgia's AD did with this assclown named Richt.

And how did that story end at Georgia? Richt is dead man walking, and 2019 is his last year. It doesn't matter what changes (or lack thereof) are made.

Do you really think Blake will fire Richt with that huge buyout after 2019 if he won't even force changes that obviously needs to be made now? This is becoming more about Blake than Richt imo. Football, basketball, and baseball programs are all in shambles under his watch.

It just means Richt will be here next year. It's a band aid. They'll make him make changes offensively but it'll just be someone who he can control. It'll be meaningless and the BoT and AD will think it will pacify the fanbase. I can't wait to see the New OC. It'll be a terrible hire, I assure you. There isn't a competent, successful individual who would risk his career to come and coach under Richt.

After decades of Cane Board participation, a repetitive thought process, a pseudo absolute no less, that BOT is intimately involved with decisions regarding the status of particularly the head football coach’s position is a constant. The BOT is a fiduciary for the university's economic interest particularly in approving a contract of the Mork magnitude. Vicariously, they participate in the hiring and discharge process via their approval of the AD’s hiring, an individual that legally is regarded as expert in such matters and an authoritative figure worthy of making essential decisions.

With the above noted, if James notified administration that he believed Mork should be discharged, within 3-standard deviations, our leader would be a memory. The potential liability of such action then shifts from the BOT to the AD and the BOT heads to the links and barroom for a wonderful day on the U's tab.

You raise an interesting point. This is more about Blake trying to save his job.

If they hire an excellent OC and grant him 100% ownership of the offense, the situation is fixable. The NFL season ends soon. They could hire a great offensive mind from the NFL.

Richt feels highly beholden to his son, Dugans and Brown. The problem is that Richt would rather risk another abomination than anihilate his relationship with these 3 individuals.

Please don’t make any changes!
Please!!!!!!

This is probably best. I'm reading a lot of people saying Richt should be forced to make changes. Think about that for a second. You are advocating keeping a coach who cannot recognize and fix massive, glaring issues with the team he is commissioned to lead. Why would we want to do that? If a head coach cannot identify and correctly address huge issues with the team, then they are declaring LOUD AND CLEAR that they are not fit for the position.

The only thing that will get their attention is stoppage of donations and reduction of season tickets. $ is the only language they understand.

We all know that Richt is a bum and values loyalty over everything including winning and doing what is best for the program. Blake's job is to protect the interests of the university's athletic program. If he can't force changes, then who is the boss here truly? He can't be trusted to eventually fire Richt, and he can't be trusted to hire the next coach either. My target is Blake right now. He is the biggest problem.

Fastest way to get rid of Richt is to keep everything the same and make no changes. Anything else can be used as an excuse for more time.
