For perspective, it's important to understand that we are in the majority when it comes to the vibe check of the fan base of their team. Everyone has problems and the more games played the more they are exposed. We went from 20 years of trying to win the Coastal Division to nitpicking to double digit night road wins being someone's Super Bowl. Let's not get wrapped up in Wake Forest the brand and accept that they are actually are a solid team being 11-5 in the last two seasons with a QB that made incredible plays against us to keep the alive.

Happy Fanbases (have actually played someone)
Ole Miss
Mississippi State
Florida
Virginia Tech
Duke

Unhappy Fanbases
Miami(FL) (second half against Wake)
Florida State (broke with lameduck Coach)
NC State (see final play of Vandy game and got owned by UVA)
Auburn (3rd down D against Florida)
Oklahoma (have looked dreadful on offense and just got their star DT hurt practicing on offense)
Alabama (has been down twice to Kentucky and Florida St)
Ohio State (blew a double digit lead to Texas)
Texas (played awful for 3 quarters against Ohio St)
Michigan (I'll get back to this one in a second)
Oregon (bullied by Boise St and Oklahoma St)
Texas A&M (wrecked at home by Kentucky)
USC (They know Riley isn't their guy)
LSU (lost to Ole Miss)
South Carolina (Al Golden's nephew is their head coach)
Clemson (Beatdown at LSU and struggled with P6 team)
 
We have a 40+ million dollar roster...not the "amatuer" rosters of the past. It's ok to have expectations. if your expectations for a 40 million dollar roster vs a 20 million (maybe) roster to to be in an actual game until the 4th qtr, I have some other investment options for you.

I think its a multitude of factors like message board rhetoric leaking into social media, people in general treating social media like a gameday thread (people lose their mind and say the wildest things but on a message board we leave it there and its done, on twitter it stays on the feed and everyone sees it), any and everyone having a voice on social media, so the sane fan wont say much but the crazy person will loudly just continue voicing their insane opinion and people will listen.

Like NO ONE would walk on the street and listen to someone who "forgot" to take their meds or strung out on crack/meth/whatever en vougue drug of the times or a street walker, but on social media they can be an expert, grow a an actual following worldwide who listens to them and their crack head opinions can hold weight just due to following, weirdest **** ever in soo many spaces online, sports, relationships, money/finance, etc. And also the fact outrage marketing works better than regular takes, trolls get engagement and social media has made engagement = $$$ so people are incentivized to continue, weird times man..

Also the funniest example I saw cruising CFB this weekend is National Champs Indiana, they won their game 38-0 for their second shut out and they are ****SSSED, they are comparing their QB to Mendoza (like we do Wilson to Bain and which players HATE lol, every interview is same ****) Its gotten soo loud Cignetti has had to make multiple comments about Hoover being their QB (added below)

So it seems universal.. Indiana fans are ****ED they dont look like last year championship team and something is wrong with offense and defense isnt as good as last year..

Indiana won 38-0,
outgained them 513 to 186,
7.8 to 3.0 YPP
Had 233 rushing yards to 66
Only thing you can look at is they were 2-10 on third downs

I think its just due to User content on social media and the psycho fans can get online and just scream online.. Outrage marketing gets more view$ on social media, its more sticky and gets shared more. Its unfortunate..

These are guys actually letting the fans know they are doing well but just look at the headline and how its framed..







 
Isn’t the point of message boards to discuss your team whether that be negative or positive. We have high expectations for this team. That’s all a credit to Mario and what he’s built. We all see the same flaws in this team which is going to prevent us from going where we all want to go. Nothing wrong with focusing on that

Exactly, a completely different team beat them last year. many of them are now on our TV's on Sunday now.

If it’s 14-0 at half this week to CMU people will lose their **** even more here.

Georgia was up 49-0 on WKU at half. Reno was up 21-7.

I get your point but, i’m more disappointed, I guess you could say, than angry. I thought we were past these types of games after the way we ended last year, and the start to this year. I’m not going to name names, but I’m really, really, really disappointed in one particular player the way that game ended.

Last I checked, nobody that porsts here actually plays.

Doesn’t matter if they’re mad or satisfied.
