Vegas says we should beat Virginia by 17.5

Smells of a trap game...they beat Boise Sate by 19 and playing there is never easy.

They also lost to 4-6 Indiana by 17. I'm in no way saying it'll be easy, and I actually watched the Boise game, but I trust the Pastor.

if the previous coaching staff who shall not be mentioned by name was still here, i'd be terrified. however we've got coaches who make sure these kids stay level-headed and are prepared. we should win with no problem. my biggest worry is escaping these next 2 games with no serious injuries to starters/key contributors. we've already lost some depth on the defense with d.jackson and c. perry the past 2 games, can't afford any more.

If the previous staff was still here, we'd be 5-4

My guess is that Richt really drills them in practice these next two weeks. He knows that Virginia smells of a trap game, and Pitt REALLY smells of a trap game.

After loses to VPI next weekend, Pitt will be 4-7, out of bowl contention, and will have nothing to play for when we play them.

None of these games have worried me because I never cared what the ultimate score would be. And like you, I believe Richt and the coaches have been playing chess for a seemingly checkers playing fanbase.

One game at a time.

10-0!

We're #2 ....all games from here on out will be trap games. However, the one constant over the year was our D-Line and the additional constant over the last two games was our O-Line. I feel good about running the table if those two units continue to show up.

The O line? 2 years?

This is a classic trap game. Coming off of an old rivalry. Game Day on campus. Packed Stadium. Coastal Title already achieved. If anything, we should be thankful about how bad we looked against UNC. Maybe it wakes everyone up that we are capable of playing down to our competition. 1 week at a time. Win every game. It can be done. This team can do it.

You mean, like when they knocked off #2 ranked West Virginia?

I'm interested in seeing the environment at the Rock. There's a lot of factors that go into creating a trap game, like trying to get up a week after a program changing win, 12:00 kickoff, an environment that is sure to be turned way down when compared to the last two weeks and add to it that the national media is no longer disrespecting you and all of a sudden is saying "Miami is back." I think Miami wins going away, but it'll take a strong 2nd half.

Playing at home is never easy?

he was referring to playing at Boise which UVA did when they hammered BSU.

I hate this UVA game, funny, IMO, this will be a great test of our coaching staff and players mentality, as mentioned, they're the media darlings now, how do they respond.

Which could be worse because that means playing us is their bowl game

lol as much as beating ND was great for us it is in no way a “program changing win” we had those in the 80s. Saturday was just a win to help put us back where we belong

Pitt's rivalry with West Virginia is nothing like their rivalry with us. That said, we cannot take anyone lightly. We're every team's Super Bowl from here on out. I think we win, but I wouldn't lay 19 points. Just being honest.

Get ready for another close win, I feel like our team will go back to cardiac mode for lesser teams.

You mean their arch rival? That's the same as playing against Miami. Point is, I'd rather play 4-7 Pitt than 5-6 Pitt.

Slightly different, that was their biggest rival at the time. Backyard brawl always seem to be competitive.

They got smacked by Louisville. Our boys will handle business.

not to mention they've lost 3 out of the last 4... the one win coming on that fluke TD to beat GT two weeks ago

we will roll

You could say we've had some "fluke" TD's but there are no flukes in football...GT gave us all we could handle, not that I do not EXPECT us to win...just concerned with all the comments about how easy it will be for us....I expect a win, even is it is by one point!
