I just don’t get it with these high school kickers.

Why are they having so few attempts on their season? Has highschool kicking regressed?

I went to HS with UGA’s kicker, Marshall Morgan, and before he committed to UGA he was FSU’s top target. They told him they weren’t recruiting anybody else then he found out they were also recruiting Robert Aguayo. MM left FSU and committed to UGA right afterwards.

Anyways, both of them were actually putting up stats—much better than the two kids we have offered so far.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Morgan is the No. 10-ranked prospect in Broward County for the Class of 2012. He connected on 15-of-16 field goal attempts his junior season, with a long of 53 against Fort Lauderdale, and averaged 44 yards per punt.

These kids attempts 3 or 4 field goals on their season w/ 38 yards per punt averages make me nervous.
