Valentine Thread: Set to visit this weekend....maybe.

Golden is a closer. Dude has to pull his used car salesman technique to get this kid. I believe he'll do it.

No, its not. See my post to Token. This is pretty much how the Patrick Peterson and Dwayne Bowe situations played out. Those guys didnt have all these other SEC programs as their finalists. They went from Miami, to being in love with LSU. All the while the smoke was BILLOWING out that something shady was going on, and both were later confirmed. So no, if money was offered, you dont necessarily have to have all these other notorious programs in the picture at the end.

OK. It's just that I see people say this about guys like T.V. and other recruits that waffle down the stretch each year. I mean, I doubt Rutgers fans were parsing Hester's statements a few months ago and saying "he was looking for an excuse" to not sign with them.

Rutgers' fans do not have a clue, they could care less--CANES fans passionately remember what the CANES were like, what we want them to be, and who they are known as reasonable or unreasonable expectations.

Obviously the visit is huge. A chance to wine and dine him. A chance for him to mingle with the team and go hang out with the guys at night.

But a bigger benefit may be that UM now has no limit on the number of calls it can make to TV and his family thru the end of the visit. (NCAA allows unlimited calls to the recruit and his family starting 5 days before the start of the visit and running thru the end of the visit). Perhaps H. Brown can call the step-dad often and get him squarely on our side. LSU will have unlimited calls on Thur. because of their scheduled visit with TV in Miami.

same exact story bigconch said. The family did get money, that isn't what I was disputing. I was disputing C4L's timeline of LSU coming out of nowhere and snagging PP. It was a roundabout way that led them to LSU.

Yeah, we really closed well with Collins, Thomas, Bostwick, and Bryant last season. I also feel particularly good given our proven track record landing defensive tackles.
