You laugh, but Butch had "hookups" like this at many local schools. Its how he got in the door sometimes. Remember "Coach Squeak" during the Jon Colon fiasco? A staff has to have someone they have buttered up at many of these schools as their eyes and ears sometimes. Again, I have no idea how Champagnat operates, but I wouldnt be surpised if they have some secretary there that they throw some flowers, tickets, gift baskets to.

Oooo what dipsh*t? I said "wonder" if he showed up unannoucned. As in "I dont know, so Im WONDERING". Obviously phone calls werent working, becuase accordign to all sources, the staff was totally in the dark as to what was going on with the kid and if he would take the OV. The fact that AG showed up at the school, leads me to think they wanted to put him on the spot and get him to agree to the OV. And honestly, when I said 'unannounced" I was including just a spur of the moment type trip, not something that had been planned days ago. Maybe they called on their way there and said "hey were in the neighborhood can we drop by"? To me that would be pretty close to dropping by unannouced.

The idea would be to surprise the kid and corner him where he couldnt avoid our calls or contact.

I honestly think he's all Cane, just enjoying the experience of visiting the top 2 programs in the nation before starting his career.

so LSU clearly and obviously paid Valentine according to you. LSU coaches are not capable of just good ol' fashioned crootin -- this one is a done deal and check is cleared. As a result TV shuts down his recruitment because he got his money and wants more to come his way when he arrives.

but then......the natural walks into his school, unannounced, no money for the -- as you claim -- money hungry kid and works his voodoo and gets TV to come on a visit (and possibly switch!) in face of all that monetary compensation?

You don't get it. Didn't you read what a BOSS move it was? Golden sliced the throats of LSU's henchmen and kicked the door open with his rattlesnake skin boots. He marched down the hall with each step echoing as his spurs rang out through the building. Teachers locked their doors and hid. Then Al found Valentine, quivering in a utility closet, and stared him directly in the eyes for 3 straight minutes. He never spoke a word. Neither of them did.

Afterward, he rode off on a motorcycle made from a white rhino's carcass and Valentine tweeted that he'd be taking that official to UM afterall.

Why do you live in these threads trying to convince everyone the SEC doesn't pay kids? On a Miami board thread about a kid UF isn't recruiting? Bizarre. I like you, but this is bizarre.

I never once said the SEC doesn't pay kids, so you are already wrong. I know plenty well what goes on CFB. I disagree with the notion that is just the SEC but that is another thread, too much money at stake for all the conferences and schools.

I was going to go through an pos rep some pro miami posts, don't know if you noticed but I had been doing it for ***** and giggles. Pro miami posts being pos repped by a gator -- i dunno I found it amusing. Anyway, I keep seeing C4L bleeding all over every thread with "they got PAID" crap. I am not even saying TV didn't get paid, all i said was be consistent. He is being a hyperventilating drama queen with this crap.
