-Taking 2 visits in jan to LSU & Bama
-Says "It's just business," "I just want to explore and see how their facilities are and how the school is. I'd like to see how the football team works. I want to see everything."
-Monday from LSU coaches Corey Raymond and Frank Wilson visited with Valentine
-Says "We talked about my commitment to Miami and how much they would like me to be over there," "They were checking to see how I'm doing in school and how my season's going "I'm doing very good in school and our season's going well," "I've had a pretty good relationship with Coach Raymond. That was the first time meeting Coach Wilson and it felt pretty good being around both of them."
-Says "Now that Miami's good(No sanctions) they have no worries about me switching," "This year they're proving it but in years to come they're going to be the team to beat. They let me know they needed some players that could help complete the team which as D-linemen. I feel like if I go there I can contribute early."
-Says "Ever since I was little I've kind of followed LSU," "I'm always going to be respectful to a coach or a recruiter, listen to what they have to say and what they have to offer. If they have anything to say, they can talk to me and let me know how they feel and how I could contribute to their program."

Basically LSU is his backup plan, kid is all cane otherwise

lol, if they are looking, we are too? how do you know this? how do you know golden isn't on top of the situation? I suppose we are still looking at adding more dts and clearly we need a plan if this kid doesn't qualify for UM, but, this statement w/out knowing what is going on at Hecht is dumb.

Isn't the staff always looking and keeping contact with players at every position? That's kinda how recruiting works

Not worried about losing this kid to another team because the out-recruit us. I never bought in to all the negatives about grades, but that doesn't mean there isn't a little bit there to be worried about.

We need this kid. BAD.

Didn't Artie Burns and Jamal Carter have LSU offers and also took OVs there?

I think we good to go here.

The 1 foreign language vs 2 foreign language class thing..... has anyone reported anything else on that? Too often see recruits take the path of lease resistance with qualifying stuff. Would feel a lot better knowing this was a bogus story from LSU sites.

Foreign Language 2 years

I wouldn't be shocked the two years thing is from people who don't realize Miami is a private institution, and not subject to the admission requirements of state schools in Florida (which do require 2 years).

Never thought I say this but LSU's football facilities are not quite as good as Miami's now that the Schwartz Center is open. Miami has a superior training room, football locker room and player's lounge and academic center.

THIS is the CRITICAL issue here that we need to keep an eye on. If he can make it into UM, I think we are probably good, unless L$U pulls some $hady $h*t, which is not unlike the at all. Otherwise I think the kid likely sticks, but if the credits issue becomes a problem, I think all bets are off. Kids want to play and play now. I dont get the feeling this kid is the kind of "superfan" that would go to prep for a year just to play for us, vs going to LSU and playing now.

Agreed on all points

I saw it on TOS back in June when big Tra enrolled at Chamagnat. Old news.... Miami will take him with only 1 Foreign language, confirmed.
