The guy is a ****poor head coach. His Defensive Coordinator doesn't bring one damned thing to the table.

FSU recruits well because they play well, and are coached well. Same-same with Alabama.

Look, you'll have some who want to stay home.

Others want to play for a winning program where they can play for the NC, and then the NFL. Those are the ones we're losing.

Get someone like Butch, start winning, playing aggressively with our ears laid back, and we'll keep a lot of those we want from S.FL. Not with Golden. Not with D'Onofrio.

This staff tries hard az ***, which tells UM cant keep up in this arms race. Every1 blames the coaches which theres xs and o's r terrible, but they try erthing to recruit which tells u miami cant compete at n elite level. This program wont change with a head coaching change, this program killed itself joining the ACC. The only way i see is if they change the higher up.....we need a prez that there number 1 focus is football then n only then UM will b back the way we want it.

Killed itself joining the ACC? If it didn't join the ACC, it would now be in the AAC (Big East Football Schools). In the new College Football Playoff, the AAC is in the "Have Not" group of five (AAC, MAC, MWC, Sun Belt, C-USA) not the Power Five (ACC, BIG, Big 12, Pac 12, SEC + The #$*&! Domers). If you are not in a Power Five conference, your chance of getting into the playoff is severly compromised. This is why L'ville and Rutgers RAN to the ACC and BIG.

It is tough enough being the private, smaller, more costly #1 Academic School in the state and competing with double subsidized (low tuition which the state pays for students via easy to obtain Bright Futures scholorships) state schools and other state's Flagships U's with DEEP taxpayer-provided pockets. In your non-ACC scenario, The []_[] would NEVER make it back to "National Prominance." The Power Conference membership (the ACC) give The []_[] a fighting chance.

I know this will be unpopular, but I think it's a major positive that we got Bo to take an unofficial last week. It's not every day that you can get a guy of that caliber to visit on his own dime. I wouldn't be surprised if the Tuscaloosa goon squad put the clamps on Bo's family after realizing what a serious threat we were.

And TV is clearly not a fail or a loss because we have known for a while that he wasn't coming. As long as we have some advance knowledge that a guy isn't coming, then it's not really a loss when he doesn't come. He's going to LSU, but we knew it, so it doesn't matter.

Cory Johnson, like Valentine, was probably scared off by Miami's academic requirements. Like TV, he went to a very questionable school. It looks like that Brooklyn JUCO Johnson went to is the JUCO equivalent of Champagnat.

Don't forget, Champagnat is not accredited; it does not speak well for LSU that they're so willing to take a kid like that probably without providing a path to academic success in a real academic major. They probably promised him a P.E. major which UM does not have. They discard a lot of players after they get there, not only do they have a lower NCAA grad rate, but a lower federal grad rate, which looks at the overall percentage taking into consideration those who come in or leave the program.

A lot of these kids are very marginal students--they see their future as defined by football, not achieving a professional vocation. If they don't make it in football, they might end up coaching HS, or being a cop or security guard. Usually honorable professions (not always) but not professions that really require the intellectual development that academic courses in college might provide.

I think that's the issue with Wyche too. He probably dislikes school so much he was not willing to put in an extra semester of classes to come to the U.

Yeap, and Donna took money from huge, well maybe taller than her, crook with a stupid smile on her face. NCCA gave Butch clean slate; Donna is one of their own and they raped us for three years. So, in short, if we don't want Butch as HC, then lets replace Donna with him. He does better with NCCA and can always help out recruiting like she does sometimes. Plus, I am sure he will fire Mark.
