VT and Pitt both lick ***, and despite that, I have zero confidence that UM can beat either team. UM should ham slam both of those teams. Anything short of crushing both teams is an abysmal failure by Albortion.
 
Just look at the VT game last year. Thomas was horrible the two games before we played then our shltty defense made him look like Tom Brady in a monsoon
 
We should be laughing our way to the ACCCG and yet there is a very real possibility that we will be 1-3 in the conference after Thursday, oh but Golden has us going in the right direction, right Blake, *******.
 
Did anyone notice Bud Foster dropping a DT into coverage on the zone blitz? I chuckled when he got that interception thinking about the meltdown on here if Dorito had done that. For as much as Beamer and Foster get credit for doing more with less I would not want them within a mile of our program. Certainly not saying what we have is better, but coaches all over the ACC lay down Golden-like performances several times a season.
 
They were showing the Coastal standings last night. I can totally see a scenario where we end up last in the conference. If we lose to UNC (which is not a stretch), we will probably end up last in the coastal. Here's the current breakdown:

UVA 2-0
GT 2-1
Pitt 2-1
Duke 1-1
Miami 1-2
VT 1-2
UNC 0-2
 
Yep, I don't understand it, we should be waltzing our way into the title game. even with the surprise loses on defense, like on the offensive line.

The UM vs UNC game will determine which team ends up in last place. If finishing last in the worst division of college football does not get you fired nothing will.
 
It's literally the most depressing thing in my life right now that we can't win the Coastal this season.

The Coastal is worse than the American Conference, and we're probably going to have a losing record when the smoke clears. Shoot me in the face.
 
Losing to USF at home should have been rock bottom, but I guess this program has not reached the abyss yet. Can this program get any lower than finishing last in the coastal.

None of the teams we play are that good, it's why its so frustrating to have the record we have. UL? Meh. Even Nebraska's high octane offense was neutered by MSU. Only team worth a **** is FSU, and we have them at home.

I have to agree with you, Bobby Digius. There is no excuse to lose to any of the trash on our schedule. The only good team on the schedule is F$U and they are vulnerable this year. The three losses are inexcusable. If we lose to the worst VT team I can remember, Blake James should tell El Foldo to find his own way home from Blacksturd.
 
watching that game last night made me embarrassed to be a canes fan. that's our competition and we can't win the coastal? would we even win the mac?

Forget about not winning the coastal. There's more of a realistic chance that we'll end up last or second from last in the coastal. How's that for progress?

I'd take Foster as our DC TODAY and bet 2 stacks that by gametime Thursday we'd hold VT to less than 300 yards!
