Va Tech @ Pitt thread.

The game against Pitt wasn't even close last year. I am not sure about next week even though VA Tech's offense and QB don't impress at all but no way we lose at home to Pitt.

VT and Pitt are both poor teams, as tonight's game showed. However, I doubt we beat either one. Although we have superior player talent, we are saddled with idiot corches.

Pitt played D'Onofrio's defense in the 4th and VT marched down the field. No pass rush and lbs and dbs playing way off the line of scrimmage.
Bad sign of what is coming down the road.

This game actually looked like well matched teams playing hard. Tough guys win out in college football.
Our guys need to suck it up and play like big boys no matter what the coaches handcuff them with.

GO CANES!!!!! Always

VT is a different team at home, but we should win. I'll be surprised (and worried) if the spread is less than Miami -7.

No way the line is Miami -7 with our ineptitude and a Thurdsay night game in Blacksburg. I'm not sure how VA Tech beat Ohio State.

Pitt won't even have to throw the ball. That big RB is going to run right through us.

And we will put up 40 against them. We aren't losing to them at home. We win games at home and lose games on the road. Duke is a better team than Pitt, how did we beat them?

Vag Tech is really bad right now. They missed their freshmans RB badly, and Brewer hasn't looked the same since the beatings he took in the OTU game and ECU game.

That defense struggles with a QB who can run, but we don't have that. So maybe that'll help Vag Tech out, but they're not a very good team at all this year. The Coastal is probably the words division in major college football. A real cesspool. If Folden can't beat that VT team, then he should off himself before getting on the plane.

How the **** do we already have 3 losses, 2 of which came to teams from this ****** conference.

The problem with Pitt and VT is that neither of them are very good. We're basically looking at 2 slightly above average teams. By sheer dumb luck it's possible Golden could split against those two and eek out a win.

I expect a close game next Thursday cause VT sucks, we have more talent, but they have a huge advantage in coaching staffs. It spells out for a close game between 2 teams which on the aggregate are barely average.

Now if we get blown out by that ****** VT team? We should storm the Hecht center the day after the game with pitch forks.

No 2 ways about it....VT is putrid and injured.

Win by 14-21 comfortably, otherwise blow me like Kiffin's wife on KKK.

UM

Only way we beat these teams is if the offense suddenly comes together. We have immense potential but we have been extremely inconsistent and disjointed so far. If we gel on that side of the ball and start to dominate teams offensively then that would take pressure off of the defense and the defense could be a function of the offense. Make no mistake Pitt and VT are bad but this defense will continue to get abused.

This is the only way I can see this team salvaging this year. Having said that, I have no faith in this coaching staff. Golden is much too timid and rigid in his approach to oversee a turnaround like that.

This, they'll run the QB a little to keep us honest and then just punish us with Connors the entire game. I can see him having 35 carries for over 200 yds against our defense.

VT qb is going to look like a future heisman trophy candidate and Pitts qb and rb are going to rush for close to 350 yrds. We suck.
