Not good that we will have to face this guy but VT signing him shows the impact new coaches can have.
 
if Lawson transferred back to Florida I would expect it to be to UCF. USF already has their top two guys
 
We're fine with Kaaya (2 more years), Rosier (3 more years), Shirreffs (4 more years) and Allison (incoming, 4/5 years). Lawson gave up his spot to Shirreffs, and while he's the better athlete, I think we got the better QB for our system. ... Good for Va Tech. Hope they finally start winning some of their OOC games (other than their win vs. the Buckeyes 2 years ago, I can't remember when they won a big OOC game). Either way, we still kick their ***.
 
Acc coastal has great hc's. Is there a division with a better collection of head coaches ?

Let's not blow this out of proportion. It's not like this kid is being recruited by top 20 schools. Missouri, UCF and Nevada? If he was amazing, he'd have better schools after him. Plus, we know how our "top rated juco prospects" have worked out recently (sandland, jones, Wyche)
 
This division just got a whole lot better in terms of coaching, let's see how that translates to the field.

Why would we want Lawson back? Nothing personal, but he doesn't fit the offense we've been running nor the offense anyone expects us to be running next year. I never understood why the kid wanted to come here. Was ok with him figuring he could end up a receiver or something if he didn't make the cut at QB, but I don't see that he's worth taking at this point.

Also, until proven otherwise, VT and all their QBs eat a d**k.

The kid has a good arm and was a pocket passer in high school. 6'5" 220.

Why doesn't he fit our system??

Spot on. If this kid was really good, he would have beaten out that VT backup (the guy that played against us). That guy was the worst QB I've ever seen at VT.
