they have 2 brothers on defense..the edmunds..one plays lb the other safety...really good..one is 6'5 250 and the saftey is about 6'1 - 220. They have veterans on defense/.////which seems to happen every year..(them having like 6-7 srs)..They have Bud Foster who i see to be a superior coordinator to our offensive coordinator.

They are scary just on that alone...We have to maximize our potential..our marquee players have to step it up...coaches included. We have to have a semblence of a run game..whether by bubble screen or whatever...i dont see us getting much push on their dline. Their lbs are sound tacklers as well. They are beatable...but offense needs to step up alot this game..because their offense will score.

- It was raining
- Our run defense is terrible so they'll just run it down our throat
- This isn't the Frank Beamer offense. VT can score and all they honestly need is is 24-28 points and it wrapps.
- Have you seen our offense? 24 points with 4 forced and a punt block and 3/5 turnovers had us inside UNC territory 2 which had us in the red zone.
- VT doesn't turn over the ball.
- We don't scare anyone but what does scare me is our O-line, offense, and run defense.

They had to be looking ahead too. Bud Foster defense with a good offense is not going to be easy. Defense is going to have to play lights out, with the offense being so inconsistent.

We had 4 turnovers against a team that had about 20 kids out. We managed to only put up 24, yeah that's scary.

Their defense is fast, side-to-side, but makes them vulnerable to motion and counters. They also brought their safeties waY up. Our speed guys (AR, JT) should feast.

That will be our biggest challenge. They are legit defensively, and we do nothing that will confuse them or slow them down. We’re going to have to hope for pinpoint execution and a high level of intensity from our guys.

I’m sure they will do something where we will hear after the game from our coaches or players that “it was something we hadn’t seen and it surprised us.” Seems we get that every time we face a good team.

We have to lose so many hidden yards a game on specials. Poor KO coverage, very poor KO return yardage and i think we all know the struggles of Mr. Feagles (however for the record i think he will be good in a year).

I miss when O'Donnell would instantly flip the field position with a booming 60 yard punt with 5 second hang time.

My man! Their rushing attack is one of the worst in CFB...they pass the entire game or run through their QB!

These guys put 28, 38, and 23 against Delaware, Old Dominion(who has one of the worst D’s in CFB), and BC. Stop hyping the offense, it isn’t any special

When will you all realize? VT’s MO is not really to wipe opponents off the field. They are a tough team to play us every year regardless of how talented or not talented they are. Besides, we are just off a game where we were life and death against an awful team.

Our run defense hasn’t been perfect but it will be enough to stop the hokies
