The ghost of Julio Derosier strikes again.

… I am almost sure we did have a grad transfer just show up one summer a few years ago when we were at our player cap and we applied him to the next academic year. So it has happened before.

Yeah wasnt it that DT from Bama Burroughs? He just randomly appeared at practice but he wasnt immediately eligible IIRC however that could have been when waivers were still a thing and everyone's grandma was getting sick.
 
id love to land fields. we need it. hopefully there is some truth to this reckless speculation

honestly, at this point, its ****ed up if youre a transfer WR not in yet and wants in post spring going into summer I. the kids that stayed and battled through and out of spring deserve to have a shot. those kids had a shot in the spring portal to come here. **** them if theyre out

I think July 3rd may be the deadline for Miami. I imagine for a GT it is just graduate and as long as you enroll by the schools registration date you are good.

1. Too late for Summer A and Summer C and Summer D (classes began May 12th)
2. June 20th for Summer B (June 16th to July 18th)
3. August 27th for Fall

Which is why I have continued to say that Mario will recruit up to August 27th if necessary.

On the other hand, why leave if your QB might realistically be Emory?

It's a tough decision for everyone involved.

well i meant the ones that didnt enter post spring and transfer - beck was here then not emory so it was clear emory wouldnt be playing. did they really need to see a 10 second clip of stationary throwing of one pass to know?

Let me rephrase.

If there was a concern about Beck's recovery, the default would have been "Emory".

As for the 10 second clip, that could be a prelude to a visit. I don't want to give away too much info here, but we DID try to convince some guys to enter the Portal. And we DID have some guys doing due diligence. And NOT only by video clips...
