UVA QB

They're 19th in the country in YPP and have put up at least 506 yards in every single game so far this year. They can, and almost certainly will, move the ball. I don't think it's reasonable to expect to completely shut them down, but I do think it's reasonable to think we hold them below their lowest output so far, which was 506 yards against Wake. If they get 506 against Wake's athletes, you have to be able to hold them to less than that with Miami's. Otherwise it's a massive fail by Manny.

Less than 450 yards and 28 points is a win, IMO. We should be able to win the game relatively comfortably if that happens with how poor their defense is. It's about time the offense goes out and wins a game for us. They're 0-3 so far.

We've had 2 poor defensive showings, one of which was Bama with months to prepare, and one where if our offense had a hint of a pulse, we're up multiple scores rather late in the first half and who knows how things go from there (After the drop by Mallory and missed FG by Borregales, we should have been up 14-3, at least, at 6 mins to go in the first half. 24 minutes in the first half, they had 3 points). No excuses, they weren't good enough, but I'm not sure you can say "we're worse" yet. IMO the next 3 weeks tell that story. If we go get gutted by UVA, UNC (again), and NC State, yeah, it's completely broken and I will have cirrhosis.
From the eye test we look worse imo that is

Hot Take: Brennan Armstrong will look like a Heisman candidate and absolute shred us Thursday night. We will struggle to get off the field on third down with ample dinks and dunks. We will look confused, unorganized allowing them to become big plays and our pressure will not get to him in time. Brace yourselves.
Negrodamus is that you?!?!?

HOT TAKE: I disagree. He’ll throw for about 250-275, throw 2 picks and we win. Manuel still gets fired. We are all happy. GO CANES

If it’s one thing I can bet on, it’s a Manny led defense making bad to average QBs

Therefore, I am betting on UVA to score over 27.5 points.

Cash it

VA QB is good for 330 (4) passing TD and a rushing TD.They may tempo us to death knowing we’re very erratic unstable.

VA will throw all kinds of BLITZ packages, they know they can do man coverage no problems in this with drops.

Don’t let a fired up Cane tunnel run to field fool any one it’s required but has no validity and deflates quickly in game conditions, sorry to say.

YEP , doesn’t look good VA isn’t CCSU they will punch back and we don’t like that at all.

SORRY

Against Wake he was by far the best running back on their team
Their leading rusher on the season has 81 yards. 81. Their run game is awful.
As such I’m more worried about their run game going for over 200 on us as they use eye candy before running off tackle for all the yards time and time again

The left handed qb at uva? That boy trash. We had a qb break the single game touchdown record and he was trash. But im sure he puts up 300 plus and 3 touchdown..

Interesting. Watching Packer & Durham this morning. The local Virginia newspaper reporter was on with Don Bailey. He said that Armstrong appears to have hurt his knee two games ago and he is far less mobile right now than he was at the beginning of the season. He said there are noticeably less designed runs for him and possibly the reason he has been staying in the pocket taking so many sacks the past two weeks. Nothing official has been said but Armstrong has spent time in the med tent the past two games..

Could come in to play tonight...
