Wonder if their coach is still a hot get? He had a great defense and an adequate offense but all those 4th down failures gave Oregon a short field handicapping his team. With that defense he could've punted on third down and won the game. Failure after failure was hard to watch, especially running the same basic plays.

Whittingham is a badass. He has a concrete ceiling at Utah. Would love to see him at a program with access to more talent. His teams are tough as nails.

Whittingham will never leave Utah has been there forever (since '94) and making 4 million a year, will most likely retire from there

Whittingham could have had several high prolific jobs but hasn't had any interest.

Exactly.

Dude has been at Utah since 1994 as a defensive line coach, defensive coordinator (1995-2004) and head coach since 2005 after Urban Meyer left.

Full-blown Mormon living in the Mormon capital of the country and making $4M-per-year at a program where he's not expected to win anything more than an occasion PAC-12 title. There's a reason he's stayed put.

Whitt's strategy would never work here. In the MWC they could beat up on teams and be the darling every few years, but not at a serious title contender. Dude changes OC's like underwear and had to bring back a retread in Ludwig. Can you imagine if Manny brough mainly juco kids every year? He is a great defensive mind, but instability on O will always be his downfall. Until the Florida boys got there his O formula wasn't consistent.
