In all likelihood, I don't think one fan death due to lightning would result in an 8 figure settlement. But if there was gross negligence or willful misfeasance and the teams intentionally disregarded a lightning warning and played in violation of NCAA rules, yeah, I could see $10M paid out if someone died.
