30+ yrs ago there was a lightning strike during practice at South Miami, a coach & maybe a couple of kids died iirc. You don’t mess with safety

An athletic director from Central HS also died from lightening strike back in the 1980s, while playing golf. Several people in Florida got hit this year as well.

G-d help us if an athlete or bystander gets hit during a game. Morgan & Morgan and his friends will have multiple O-gasms.

Also our conference payout is directly tied to viewership count.

You think casual football fans are going to wait around for an hour because it’s raining? No they’ll flip the channel so this costs us money. Also increases the risk of injury for our players.

Another lightning struck within five miles. That means another delay.

This is how upsets happen. 1 hr delay in the middle of the game.

Miami needs to focus and increase intensity out of this break or it’s going to be a long night. They got lazy and soft on that last offensive drive

Their defense isn’t gaining 50 lbs or learning how to tackle during the rain delay. If this actually has an effect on how Miami plays, I am not looking forward to the rest of the season.

I think it’s a mixed bag. Miamis gameplan was to tire out their defense with the run game and then dominate the 4th quarter. Their gameplan was to go 100 mph on offense and get a tired defense to make a mistake or find a substitution mismatch. The one thing you really don’t want to see is USF getting momentum. They got 3 and then a big stop. I think this helps us in that regard. On offense Dawson is good at halftime adjustments, and this is basically an extended halftime. We are kinda starting the game over now with an 11 pt lead. Hopefully we come out of the delay playing like it’s the first quarter again.
The first part of your equation has kind of been equalized with this long delay especially months long after they restart half time will hit..

Our D has to fire off on all cylinders when play resumes. They need to be drinking Cuban Coffee in the Canes locker room.

Bane and Mesidor need to ignore the holds and meet at the QB.

Doesn’t that only count with ACC games ?
