I think the short answer is the coaches can’t adjust in real time. First quarter is scripted plays. Then Dawson has to start play calling in the second quarter. When the defense adjusts, he doesn’t change the plan. At halftime he adjusts and last year we would usually pull away. It sucks because I still don’t trust the defense and if we don’t score tds it will let the opponent get back in the game. One more TD and they would be demoralized. Now they have hope.
